Hours: A Shift: 7:00am-3:30pm
This position involves supporting and leading quality and production improvements, verifying effectiveness of current quality processes, and implementing process changes involved in the assembly of instruments, controls, and monitors used in the Electric Utility Transmission and Distribution Industry.
Job Responsibilities
+ Support Quality Lab with the following Activities:
+ Perform and document First Article inspections (FAI) as required per documentation and procedures.
+ Document inspection outcomes by completing detailed reports and performance records.
+ Present FAI findings to all applicable stakeholders
+ Proficient in reading blueprints, plans, and specifications to understand the requirements of products and services.
+ Performs Receiving Inspection, as needed.
+ Measure product dimensions, examine functionality, and compare the final product to the specifications.
+ Escalate quality control concerns to improve product excellence and work to resolve them in a timely manner.
+ Inspects a variety of units using measuring/inspection instruments (e.g., CMM (coordinate-measuring machine, micrometers, gauges, and calipers) with proper inspection techniques.
+ Make decisions regarding product acceptance per specification and company workmanship criteria.
+ Maintain inspection records in an organized manner.
+ Maintain system transactions related to Inspection duties for MRB process.
+ Send daily Material Review Board (MRB) correspondence emails to all impacted teams
+ Support all aspects of maintaining calibrated equipment, including but not limited to:
+ Schedule external calibration of laboratory equipment while ensuring no interruptions in productivity.
+ Maintain calibration standards to internal and external requirements.
+ Perform all functions to ensure gage/equipment calibration remains in compliance with all requirements, including, but not limited to calibration, traceability, master accuracy, environmental conditions.
+ Production Floor Support:
+ Investigate, analyze, and prioritize quality and process issues and implement proven countermeasures
+ Drive and support PPAP (Production Part Approval Process) tasks
+ Produce and continually review standard work instructions for manufacturing cells
+ Works closely with operational personnel to identify and resolve production related challenges
Qualifications
+ Preferred: 3+ years of quality assurance experience in a manufacturing environment.
+ Must have a high school diploma or GED, college education is a plus.
+ Extensive knowledge of Methods of Measurement (Metrology)
+ Certified as Calibration Technician or Precision Measurement Equipment Laboratory strongly preferred
+ 2+ years of oracle experience
+ Lean production flow knowledge
+ Proficiency with Microsoft Office programs (Outlook, Excel, Word, etc)
+ Understanding of Industry and Quality concepts and standards such as ISO and NIST
+ Proficiency with office computer software including Microsoft Word, Excel, and Outlook
+ Organizational and time management skills
+ Must demonstrate extensive time management skills, self-motivation, and willingness to interact with all levels of the organization.
+ Knowledge of blueprint reading/Geometric Dimensioning & Tolerance (GD&T)
+ Extensive knowledge in interpretation of calibration standards and best practices
+ Complying with Company and legal requirements, following safe work practices, and contributing to a positive health and safety culture.

+ Office and Factory environment.
+ Safety glasses and safety shoes required while on factory floor.
+ Some overtime may be required

**Pay Range**
The salary range for this position in local currency is 43400.00 - 80600.00
