Job Description


We are looking to hire an enthusiastic and hardworking quality technician with a strong eye for detail. You
will be responsible for performing standardized quality control checks on our manufacturing processes
and products to ensure they meet the required legal and company standards for safety and quality. You
may also be required to maintain calibrated test equipment, prepare test data, and identify areas for
quality control improvement.


Primary Responsibilities and Essential Job Functions:

● Functional back-up (deputy) for the site Quality Manager

● Support role in Continuous Improvement programs (5S, Kaizen, Lean, etc.), making

recommendations for improvement, documenting current-state of processes.

● Receiving inspection and Non-Conforming Material processing

● Customer Support (returns handling,failure analysis, reporting, corrective action documentation)

● Customer-specific quality documentation (e.g. COC/COA, Test documents)

● Supplier quality (Supplier Corrective Action Requests, Supplier scorecard))

● Management of test equipment and product testing procedures

● Production support in identifying non-conforming material or errors in process execution.

● Technical troubleshooting for quality issues (product testing, measurement, etc.)

● Assist with NPD and product reliability testing as required

● Perform all duties in full compliance of all laws, safety and environmental regulations, and in a

manner consistent with company policies and procedures

● Ensure that standards and safety regulations are observed.

● Address and discuss issues and proposed solutions with superiors.

● Create training materials and operating instructions

● Flexibility to manage changing activities / projects

Qualifications

Minimum Requirements:

● Minimum High School diploma or equivalent with 3 years of previous quality experience in a

manufacturing setting.

● Good math and communication skills

● Proficient with standard office software (email, MS Excel, Google Docs/Sheets)

● Flexibility to manage changing activities / projects

● Good analytical and problem solving skills

● Good verbal and written skills

● Excellent attention to detail and advanced organizational skills

● Ability to stand for long periods

● Ability to use a variety of precision measuring tools, including micrometers and calipers

● Ability to lift up to 40 pounds without assistance periodically through the shift

Applicants with the following qualifications will be given higher consideration.

● Post-High School degree or certification in quality, data analysis and/or industrial engineering

● ASQ Certification as a Quality Technician, Auditor or Engineer.

● Demonstrated understanding of advanced quality planning tools such as PFMEA, Control Plans,

SPC and Process Capability.

● Demonstrated understanding of basic statistical analysis concepts such as probability, correlation,

normal and non-normal data analysis.
