The BRP Marine Propulsion Systems facility in Spruce Pine, North Carolina is a full-service lost foam plant which uses innovative processes to create aluminum castings from polystyrene bead. We have a great workforce with employees who care for each other and the work that is done at our facility.

YOU’LL HAVE THE OPPORTUNITY TO:

First part approval of all CNC machines when required

Measure of all machined parts on CMM 2x per shift

Calibrate CMMs on a set frequency

Interpret CMM readings and give machining adjustments to production when needed

Use hard gauges for dimensional verifications

Stop production and quarantine affected product if features are found to be out of specification

Inspect and sign off products ready to ship to the customer

Calibrate and document assigned gauges with NIST traceability on a set frequency 

Ensure customer satisfaction objectives and PPM targets are obtained

Following established safety rules

Promote and model BRP values

YOU’LL THRIVE IN THIS ROLE IF YOU HAVE THE FOLLOWING SKILLS, EXPERIENCE AND COMPETENCIES:

Required:

High school diploma or equivalent

Familiarity with basic operation of hand tools

Basic computer knowledge

Visual acuity to identify part incongruities

Self-motivated

Works well with others

Good communication skills

Able to effectively follow written and verbal processes
