Job Title: Quality Technician
Job Description

The Quality Technician performs technical tasks related to quality control and assurance, including inspection, testing, and documentation. This role involves working under moderate supervision to ensure product quality through established procedures and work instructions.

ResponsibilitiesPerform complex functional tests and inspections following established procedures.Read and interpret specifications, blueprints, and mechanical drawings.Compile quality data using tools such as SPC charting methodology.Learn to use and program the CMM and other testing equipment.Evaluate and report quality issues identified through tests and inspections.Review and disposition product defects found during testing.Ensure documentation completeness and compliance with specifications.Solve routine problems using standard solutions.Maintain test machines and fixtures.Process shipping documentation and prepare necessary shipment documents.Essential SkillsMinimum of 2 years of experience as a technician in a manufacturing environment or equivalent technical knowledge gained through experience.High school diploma or equivalent required.Ability to read and interpret mechanical drawings and blueprints.Proficiency in using micrometers, calipers, depth gauges, and other measuring tools.Strong computer skills, including familiarity with word-processing and spreadsheet programs.Excellent organizational skills for data collection and transformation.Basic arithmetic, algebraic, and geometric calculation skills.Effective communication skills with individuals at all levels.Additional Skills & QualificationsAA or AS degree in a technical discipline preferred.Ability to use a microscope for extended periods.Proactive, enthusiastic, and willing to learn.Ability to perform visual inspection and physical requirements of the job.Willingness to wear cleanroom apparel.Ability to stand or sit for extended periods, bend, stoop, turn, and twist.Capability to lift and carry up to 25 pounds and handle small parts or tools.Why Work Here?

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of San Diego, California.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $20.00 - $20.00/hr.
