Pay Grade: Salaried Non-Exempt
Pay Rate: $25.00-$29.00
Reports to: Quality Manager
Summary:
Responsible for maintaining a good Supplier/Customer relationship by consistently exceeding customer’s expectations.
Essential Duties & Responsibilities:
Check/audit received, in process, and finished partsPerform eye color testing on Adient employeesUse appropriate facility systems and proceduresPerforms layout, dimensional and functional checks as necessaryCommunicate quantity and disposition of rejected parts and process reports and documentation on the sameDevelops and maintains harmonious working relationship with manufacturing personnel and assists them in resolving questions related to quality of component parts and finished goodsPrepares and maintains display boards, logs, records, and reports as required to document the extent and accuracy of quality systemsCoordinates gauge calibrations and maintains proper recordsEngages in safe practices as well as follows safety rules and job rotationsMust be willing to report unsafe conditions, reporting unsafe acts, participating in safety/ergonomic committees, participating in safety Kaizen events, participating in blue sky initiatives, participating in safety audits, and participating in safety observation feedback eventsAssist the plant in achieving safety goals while achieving and maintaining Safe Workplace and Environmental and Sustainability objectivesImplements successful pilot build practices. Includes but not limited to: BOM reviews; online build monitoring, documentation of build issues, ongoing and final quality checks, submission of customer documentationAssist Quality Engineer First Response to lineside Quality IssuesEnsures all relevant documentation is quality system compliantActively participates in plant safety, including maintaining safety, orderly, and calm workPreform conformance testing for production lines. (ex. H—points, efforts)Maintain calibration and calibration records for lab equipmentPerform SPC checks on the production lines dailyPerform measurements for Adient and Adient CustomersWork with Customer and suppliers with problem solvingPerform gage R&R’s (MSA)Must be available for training and overtime when necessaryReviews and Understands the Customer Specific RequirementsEducation Required:
High School Diploma or equivalent
Experience Required:
PC Proficiency, good communication and analytical skills, good attendance and knowledge of SPC.
Language Skills:
Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules and procedure manuals. Candidate has the ability to write routine reports and correspondence.
Mathematical Skills:
Ability to add, subtracts, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals. Candidate has the ability to compute rate, ratio, and percent.
Reasoning Ability:
Candidate has the ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out instructions furnished in written, oral, or diagram form.
Other Skills and Abilities:
Must be computer literate and familiar with appropriate software programs. Dexterity and preciseness required to operate gauges and testing equipment. Ability to lift seats (max. op 50 lbs.) with assistance.
