Job Title: Quality Technician
Job Description

The Quality Technician plays a vital role in ensuring that products meet design specifications and company quality standards. This position involves assisting in first article inspections, FMEA, PFMEA, and out-of-box audits, as well as qualifying raw materials and component parts. You will support in-process controls, component issue resolution, and the creation of quality processes and documentation. Additionally, you will be responsible for inspecting incoming materials for compliance, collecting data, generating inspection reports, performing source inspections, and maintaining accurate quality records.

ResponsibilitiesAssist in first article, FMEA, PFMEA, and out-of-box audits to ensure product meets design specifications and identify areas of weakness.Help qualify raw materials and component parts, ensuring they meet the company's quality standards via PPAP and ongoing quality monitoring.Support in-process controls and component issue resolution.Assist in the creation of quality processes and documentation to ensure products and processes from suppliers meet technical standards.Inspect select incoming materials for compliance to specifications such as drawings, BOMs, routing guides, workmanship standards, and safety.Collect data, generate inspection reports, discrepant material reports, and movements of products.Perform source inspections and audits to validate product conformance, internal manufacturing/assembly processes, and supplier process controls.Maintain accurate quality records of inspection and audit activities.Support routine maintenance and calibration of quality equipment.Essential SkillsExperience with quality and inspection equipment.Proficient in interpreting 3D CAD drawings and Bill of Material structures.Experience using Microsoft Office.Prior experience with ERP systems.Additional Skills & QualificationsFamiliarity with calipers, micrometers, gages, and other quality inspection tools.Experience with first article inspection.Work Environment

The Quality Technician will work in a dynamic environment that requires attention to detail and a commitment to maintaining high standards of product quality. The role involves working with various inspection tools and equipment, requiring proficiency in interpreting technical drawings. You will collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure adherence to quality processes and standards.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $25.00 - $32.00/hr.
