Quality Technician-2nd Shift Requisition ID: 44258 Job Location(s): Tallahassee, FL, US Employment Type: Full Time Segment: Danfoss Climate Solutions Segment Job Function: Supply Chain and Operations Work Location Type: On-site **Job Description** The Quality Technician is responsible for inspection at different stages of the production/assembly processes by utilizing gaging and measurement equipment. These observations may result in generation of non-conforming communications, documentation within established Quality records and the containment of that product. This position reports to the Quality Manager. This is a onsite 2nd Shift position. **Job Responsibilities** Responsibilities for this position include, but are not limited to, the following. • Support inspections for incoming and in-process components and the maintenance of the associated records. • Support Production in Blueprinting parts. • Utilization of gaging, tools and measuring equipment required for inspection support • Support of Nonconforming Parts and disposition. • Support in RCA of parts by Part measurement and investigation. • Support in PPAP Approval process. • Responsible for KPI update for incoming inspection, PPAP and proto parts. • Responsible for Part measurement programs on different Lab Gages. • Compliance to all Danfoss policies, procedures and instructions to ensure product quality, customer satisfaction, attainment of business goals, and environmental well-being. • Protects customers from escaped quality issues by management of containment, sorting, corrective action and blocking of suspected parts. **Background & Skills** Required (basic) qualifications • High school diploma or equivalent required; associate degree or one year certificate from college or technical school preferred. • Two (2) to three (3) years related experience and/or training, or equivalent combination of education and experience • Knowledge of handheld inspection tools, micrometers, calipers, thread gages, Height Gage, Talyround, MicroVU, CMM. • Basic understanding of engineering drawings including basic GD&T • Computer skills, specifically Microsoft Office Additional Requirements and Skills: • Attendance: High expectations for timeliness and communication of absences for preapproval.
