Job DescriptionHOW YOU WILL MAKE AN IMPACT
In this roll you will develop, implement and manage quality processes and procedures that support company quality initiatives and ensure products meet or exceed customer expectations.
Perform required testing and record and maintain test resultsIdentify, select and prepare material for testingPerform characteristic and durability testing on manufactured material and productsMaintain test results in appropriate files and databasesAssist with maintaining the quality inspection and testing program for manufactured products.Work with Production personnel in addressing quality issuesRecommend and assist in the implementation of corrective actionRespond to employee problems and questions concerning product qualityUtilize the Quality Incident Report as a quality metric and improvement toolMaintain QIR documents, data and foldersAssist in determining nonconforming material quarantine or dispositionFollow up on Corrective Action responsesPerform inspections and audits on manufactured productsVerify inspection report dataParticipate in the preparation of ISIR and PPAP documentationProvide a “quality presence” on the production floorPerform receiving inspections and audits on purchased materialsInspect incoming material and componentsInspect assemblies returned from subcontractorsAppropriately identify and release compliant items for production useAppropriately identify and quarantine nonconforming productsParticipate in the examination, evaluation and disposition of warranty items and rejected materialsConduct audits to ensure processes and products meet implied quality and performance standards.As Lead Auditor (after Certification) or as part of an Audit TeamNOTE: Certification requires either formal audit training or Audit Team member participation in a minimum of 6 audits.
Assist in maintaining calibration of instruments and measuring devices used in manufacturingKeep appropriate personnel informed of important developments, potential problems and related issues necessary for effective managementCommunicate plans and activities with others, as appropriate, to ensure a coordinated work effort and team approach.Perform related work as apparent or assignedQualifications
