Take a tour ofChart Cityto get a feel of how Chart equipment solutions impact our daily lives. **_What Will You Do?_** + Mechanical measurements using; micrometer, caliper, comparator, misc. gauges. + Visual inspection using comparison gauges. + Functional inspection using hardness gauge. + Documenting and processing of inspection data and documentation + Approves incoming materials by confirming specifications; conducting visual and measurement tests; rejecting and returning unacceptable materials. + Approves in-process production by confirming specifications; conducting visual and measurement tests; communicating required adjustments to production supervisor. + Approves finished products by confirming specifications; conducting visual and measurement tests; returning products for re-work; confirming re-work. + Documents inspection results by completing reports and logs; summarizing re-work and waste; inputting data into quality database. + Keeps measurement equipment operating by following operating instructions; calling for repairs. + Maintains safe and healthy work environment by following standards and procedures, complying with legal regulations. + Understand standard dimensioning systems and ability to identify geometric dimensioning & tolerancing (“GD&T") symbols. + Capable of operating a CMM. **_Your Physical Work Environment Will Require…_** + Must be able to operate the applicable forklifts as needed + Computer savvy to be ableto generate/prepare reports + Majority of work shift is spent standing + Ability to follow routine procedures + Ability to read tape measure + Ability to read drawing/blueprints + Must be able to use complex equipment requiring continuous attention + Must be able to make minor decisions + Use of hands to feel equipment, reach with hands and arms to handle materials + Lift and move up to 50 pounds continuously. Above 50 pounds requires lifting equipment + Frequent walking, climbing or balancing, kneeling,bending, crouching, stooping, pulling, and pushing in order to handle materials/inventory **_Your Experience Should Be..._** + 5 years of experience minimum in the use of measurement tools, such as micrometers, calipers, height gages, dial indicators, etc. + 5 Years of experience minimum reading, interpreting, understanding, and completing shop paperwork, such as work orders, log sheets, etc. + 5 Years of experience minimum reading, interpreting, and understanding engineering drawings, customer specifications and procedures/work instructions + At least 3 years Quality experience in a manufacturing environment. + Familiar with ISO Quality System + Experience writing processes and/or non-conformance reports + Ability to review material and process certifications for compliance to drawings + Must have ability to read and understand mechanical blueprints and/or drawings. + Good math and computer skills MS Office (Excel, Word, Outlook) + Excellent communication skills and ability to communicate with all levels of the organization and customers. **_Our Benefits Package..._**
