Job Description:
The Q&FS Technologist is responsible for ensuring all relevant Q&FS standards are implemented and continuously improved to assure quality and food safety at the local site, protecting the consumer and our brands.
What are we looking for?Education & Professional Qualifications:
Bachelor’s degree in engineering or science related discipline.Knowledge/Experience:
2–5 years of experience in a quality, food safety, or regulatory compliance role.Strong understanding of GFSI standards (e.g., FSSC 22000, SQF, BRCGS).Experience in Food Safety Management using HACCP/HARPC.Experience with internal auditing, document control, CAPA systems, and risk assessment (Experience with External Audits is an asset).Experience with SAP, ERP or QMS software is an asset.LSS, Hazards or PCQI Certifications an asset.Experience with Statistical Process Controls is an asset.Master Degree is an asset.Analytical and troubleshooting skills.Ability to interpret technical data and regulatory standards.Excellent ability to communicate in spoken and written forms.Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, Outlook).Experience with PowerBI is an asset.What will be your key responsibilities?Performs defined assignments in the entry level of the technical leadership career band and develops competence by performing structured work assignments. Participate in the site-based internal audit program to ensure all processes and procedures are managed in accordance with corporate Quality and Food Safety Standards, Business Unit QFS directives and FDA regulations.Being a PRIMP incident owner and conduct robust investigations.Facilitate corrective and preventative action programs in compliance with MARS QMS standards.Food Safety Representative for site HACCP Team.Facilitate compliance with the Business Unit microbiology testing program including site data analysis, reporting and recommendations on site improvements and or escalations for non-compliances.The associate responsible for the site holds management systems (SAP/ Nexus) ensuring requirements and procedures including product disposition and destruction are in accordance with Mars Quality and Food Safety Standards and Business Unit directives.Lead the food safety risk assessment process for all changes such CAB, New products/pack/process and or new regulations/ standard that impacts QFS. Document all approved changes as per Business Unit requirements.Lead root cause analysis session for product related incidents (PRIMPS) and make recommendations to correct issues.Participate in FMEA and other lean six sigma tools for continuous quality improvement.Conduct statistical analysis on consumer complain trends and recommend actions for improvements.Provide training in relevant food safety standards to supply associates.Lead the consumer and customer complaints investigations process ensuring follow up in appropriate timings and recommend actions to site QFS Manager.What can you expect from Mars?Work with diverse and talented Associates, all guided by the Five Principles.Join a purpose driven company, where we’re striving to build the world we want tomorrow, today.Best-in-class learning and development support from day one, including access to our in-house Mars University.An industry competitive salary and benefits package, including company bonus.#LI-Onsite
