As a Quality Systems Applications Engineer, you will serve as the site’s subject matter expert for electronic Quality Management System (QMS) applications. You will manage, coordinate, and support QMS tools and systems to ensure compliance with regulatory standards while driving continuous improvement. Your expertise will play a critical role in audits, training, system validation, and documentation that directly supports the integrity and effectiveness of the site’s quality processes.
What Will You Do?QMS Systems & Technical Leadership
Serve as the primary point of contact and subject matter expert (SME) for the site’s electronic QMS tools and applications, including document control, training systems, equipment management, CAPA, NCR, and e-form solutions.
Provide user training, troubleshooting, and technical support for QMS applications to local staff and cross-functional teams.
Guide users on complex technical issues, ensuring alignment with internal policies and external regulatory requirements.
Support software/system validation efforts for site-specific quality systems and related applications.
Quality & Compliance Management
Monitor and analyze QMS application performance and compliance; recommend and drive improvements to ensure alignment with regulatory requirements.
Support and participate in internal audits, external audits, and customer assessments, including documentation preparation and audit room coordination.
Maintain and update site-specific quality system documentation such as policies, procedures, and work instructions.
Support documentation and data analysis for quality investigations, CAPAs, and continuous improvement efforts.
Process Improvement & Project Support
Champion process improvements related to quality systems and application use across the site.
Collaborate cross-functionally with Quality, IT, and Operations to optimize system use and ensure integration with site objectives.
Contribute to the development and implementation of quality-related initiatives and metrics.
Communication & Team Collaboration
Communicate effectively with all levels of the organization, third-party auditors, customers, and vendors.
Coach and guide team members, sharing knowledge and best practices.
Ensure all work is performed in accordance with company safety and environmental policies.
How Will You Get Here?Education & Experience:
Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Engineering, Quality, or a related field; equivalent experience may be considered.
Minimum 2 years of experience working with electronic QMS applications and related quality systems.
Experience with systems like Windchill or other eQMS platforms preferred.
Certified Internal Auditor or strong working knowledge of applicable ISO, regulatory, or industry-specific standards (e.g., Medical Device, Automotive, Telecom) preferred.
Knowledge, Skills & Abilities:Strong knowledge of QMS principles, regulatory compliance, and quality standards.
Excellent communication skills (written and verbal) and ability to lead training sessions.
Advanced computer skills, including Microsoft Office and database systems.
Strong analytical, documentation, and project management skills.
Ability to interpret data, identify trends, and implement corrective actions.
Comfortable working independently or as part of a team in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.
Able to prioritize multiple tasks with tight deadlines and shifting priorities.
Work Environment & Physical Requirements:Office-based role with occasional time on the manufacturing floor.
May sit or stand for extended periods.
Frequent use of computer systems; close vision required.
Noise level ranges from low to moderate.
