Quality Supervisor - Engine Systems Design

In this position... 

You will work cross-functionally and closely with integrated teams in Manufacturing, Product Development, and Service, to ensure that engineering deliverables are adhered to and that we hold the functional team accountable to deliver engineering disciplines robustly.   In addition, you will help us drive operational excellence through innovative, proprietary initiatives, such as our Global Product Development System, Quality Operating System and New Model Launch.  The ideal candidate will have an overall knowledge on engine operations, with the ability to make sure that internal and external interfaces are understood.    

You'll have... 

Bachelor's Degree in Engineering 5+ years of experience in engine design or test

Even better, you may have...

MS in Engineering Black Belt certificationFMA knowledge (DFMEA, P-Diagram, Quality History, Boundary Diagram)Strong problem solving skillsKnowledge of Microsoft office suite of tools

What you'll do...

Audit the sign off of the engineering team to validate that all requirements are signed off with adequate evidence.Perform a change point analysis (CPA) with the functional team to ensure that any changes to usage, noise factors, or boundaries are adequately represented in the application test planWork with the functional team to understand failure modes to ensure we have robust prevent recurrence identified. Interface with engine system teams, to ensure robust designs, by auditing the requirements, design rules, test plans and test resultsWork with Engine system tech specialists and Engine system test team, to drive update to the Design Failure Mode Effects Analysis (DFMEA), Work with Engine System tech specialist to improve test methods and Design rules based by completing Robustness Check list (RCL) and incorporating all known prevent recurrence items. Develop quality panel, with Engine system teams, for each engine program Ensure robust delivery of failure mode avoidance tools, targets, and other program deliverables.Review CPA's with Engine system teams and tech leads for following engine components block, crank, valvetrain, timing, head, and engine cooling.Complete plant audits to ensure control plans adhere to Signed off drawing
