**Quality Supervisor – Greater Lansing, MI**
Adecco Permanent Recruitment has partnered with its client in the Greater Lansing, MI area to recruit on their behalf for a **Quality Supervisor** role. This is an exciting direct hire opportunity with a well-established manufacturing organization seeking a dynamic individual to support and drive quality initiatives aligned with business goals for profitable, sustainable growth.
The ideal candidate will bring a strong background in quality leadership, excellent problem-solving capabilities, and the ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment. This position reports directly to the Quality Manager.
**Key Responsibilities:**
+ Supervise hourly personnel across the Inspection, CMM, and FPI departments.
+ Manage weekly payroll timekeeping for hourly staff in Inspection, CMM, FPI, the Materials Testing Laboratory, and Document Control.
+ Prioritize workloads within Inspection, CMM, FPI, and the Materials Testing Laboratory to ensure customer delivery deadlines are met.
+ Lead quality communications and operator training regarding non-conformances.
+ Support 24-hour turnaround goals for Material Review Report (MRR) carts.
+ Act as the Quality lead in “Zero Defects” initiatives, collaborating with engineering and production to reduce Cost of Poor Quality (COPQ).
+ Develop and share quality metrics, including daily utilization and efficiency reports.
+ Maintain strong communication with internal teams and floor operators.
+ Complete SAE training and learn Designated Quality Representative (DQR) shipping processes to provide backup coverage.
+ Support Quality Engineering with FAI, concessions, NPI, PPAP, GR&R, and PFMEA activities.
+ Perform additional responsibilities as assigned by the Quality Manager.
**Qualifications:**
+ Solid knowledge of Quality Control and Quality Assurance principles, processes, and tools.
+ Strong skills in root cause analysis and implementation of corrective/preventive actions.
+ Experience with measurement and test equipment in a manufacturing environment.
+ Familiarity with quality inspection and calibration procedures.
+ Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
+ Proficiency in Microsoft Office tools (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Access).
+ Ability to work cross-functionally and communicate effectively at all organizational levels.
+ Strong analytical, organizational, and technical presentation skills.
+ Ability to interpret and apply aerospace engineering drawings, GD&T, procedures, and standards.
+ Annual vision exam required.
**Education & Experience:**
+ Bachelor’s degree in Engineering or a related field preferred.
+ A minimum of five (5) years’ experience in a manufacturing quality role is required.
+ Leadership is required
**Pay Details:** $75,000.00 to $85,000.00 per year
