Your role and responsibilities:

The Quality Supervisor (3rd Shift) plays a pivotal role in ensuring the highest standards of quality are maintained throughout the production or service delivery process. This position involves overseeing and implementing quality control measures, conducting inspections, and collaborating with various departments to address and resolve quality-related issues. The Quality Supervisor is responsible for developing and maintaining quality assurance procedures, managing a team of quality inspectors, and driving continuous improvement initiatives to enhance overall product or service quality.

This is an on-site position based in Senatobia, MS.

This role is contributing to the Electrification Smart Power division in the United States.

You will be mainly accountable for:

Quality Assurance Leadership: Provide leadership and guidance to the quality assurance team to ensure adherence to established standards. Foster a quality-centric culture within the organizationInspection and Testing: Oversee product or service inspections to ensure compliance with quality standards. Conduct regular audits and tests to identify and address deviations from quality specifications. Collaborate with other departments to resolve quality issues in a timely manner.Team Management: Train and manage a team of quality inspectors. Set performance expectations and conduct regular performance evaluations. Foster a collaborative and motivated team environment.Continuous Improvement: Co-ordinate with Quality Engineers to identify areas for improvement and put forward ideas to foster Quality. Work with Quality Engineers to develop and implement continuous improvement initiatives to enhance overall quality and efficiency.Documentation and Reporting: Maintain accurate and detailed records of quality assurance activities (Inspection and Block Data) Prepare regular reports on quality performance and key metrics using Checklist. Communicate effectively with stakeholders regarding quality-related matters.Collaboration: Collaborate with production, engineering, and other relevant departments to ensure seamless integration of quality control measures. Participate in cross-functional teams to address and resolve quality-related challenges.

Qualifications for the role:

High school diploma or equivalent.5+ years of manufacturing production supervisory experience strongly preferredQuality and continuous process improvement experience.Proven manufacturing supervisory skills with ability to train, instruct, and motivate employees.Excellent organizational, verbal and written communication skills.Good computer skills including Microsoft Office.Candidates must already have a work authorization that would permit them to work for ABB in the US.
