Quality & Specifications Engineer

Quality & Specifications Engineers in the Project Management Organization (PMO) have, and continuously develop, the knowledge and experience of Flow Controls manufacturing and quality processes and partners. They are responsible for the review of customer requested manufacturing and quality requirements.  The Quality& Specifications Engineer supports Project Managers (PM) in negotiating requirements and other specifications ensuring that customer orders can be performed within the quality plan.

In This Role Your Responsibilities Will Be:

Champion, plan, develop and recommend process procedure improvements. Evaluate, interpret and resolve questions and comments generated by manufacturing, sales and customers regarding procedures, quality assurance practices, materials testing, code compliance and other related areas. Support Project Managers and sales team in communication and collaboration of specification comments and exceptions for Engineering Purchasing Contractor (EPC) and End User customers. Maintain a history of specification reviews for future use. Attend post award meetings and work with sales and Order Engineering to assure customer order requirements are accurate. Help with the day-to-day operation of processing complex orders.

For This Role You Will Need:

Engineering degree or equivalent experience is required Strong mechanical skill Strong technical and interpersonal skills Understanding of quality documents and procedures Strong organizational skills and attention to detail  Knowledge of welding, NDE, and/or manufacturing Microsoft 365 applications knowledge Legal authorization to work in the United States

Preferred Qualifications That Set You Apart:  

Knowledge of Fisher products, organizations, systems and procedures Knowledge of ASME/ANSI/ASTM code  Experience in quality or materials EDOCS and Oracle knowledge
