Quality Specialist III

We provide our global teams with the resources needed to achieve individual career goals while helping to take science a step beyond by developing solutions for some of the world’s toughest challenges, like protecting the environment, making sure our food is safe or helping find cures for cancer. **Discover Impactful Work:** The Quality Specialist III will establish and maintain a strong quality management system across all functions and will work in concert with customer management to ensure that all requirements and service metrics, as outlined in the current contract/agreement, are met on a consistent basis. **A day in the Life:** Drive quality excellence in the program through clear communication, collaboration, service scope expansion, SLA adherence, and team management. Partner with customers to identify meaningful RACI, Service Level Agreements (SLA), and Key Performance indicators. + Collaborate with functional area partners to supervise performance, efficiency, ensure adherence to procedures, and guarantee right-the-first-time work. Report performance metrics and evaluate trends. + Ensure inspection readiness across the program portfolio. Represent Thermo Fisher Scientific in audits and inspections, quality reviews, and operational assessments. + Ensure action items, reports, revisions, and deviations are managed in appropriate systems. Lead deviation investigations, facilitate triage meetings, and own deviation and quality event records as needed. + Handle vendor qualifications, perform periodic monitoring of vendors, and other vendor related oversight. + Become trusted advisor for the customer. Ensure customer needs are met and high-quality service is delivered. Assists in supporting the resolution of all customer situations in a timely manner. Highlight a dedication to understanding and meeting client expectations. + Conduct process and product audits to identify improvement opportunities; analyze root cause for quality problems and develop CAPAs to reduce deviations and rework. + Address quality issues proactively, promote overall compliance, and facilitate quality related discussions in an effort to exchange insights on standard methodologies. + Perform technical writing and document approval. Perform document management activities, such as electronic document management and physical document archiving. + Lead Practical Process Improvement (PPI) and focus on improving processes with the goal of providing stellar customer service. + Performs other projects and assignments as needed. **Keys to Success:** **Education:** + Bachelor’s degree required. **Experience:** + 2+ years of experience in a quality, auditor or similar role in a GxP environment required. + Good understanding of various quality improvement tools & Lean techniques: 5S, VSM, Waste reduction, Process mapping, Control Charts, etc. + Knowledge/ exposure to GxP requirements and ISO Standards. + Experience in a subcontractor matrixed environment. **Knowledge, Skills, Abilities:** Strong analytical and critical thinking abilities to make timely decisions while functioning in a fast-paced changing work environment. Proficient verbal and written communication skills; including experience in writing SOP’s and presentation skills. Tried excellence in customer service skills. Meticulous, problem solver, promotes collaboration. Excellent computer/software skills. (Outlook, Excel, Word, PowerPoint). This position may also be eligible to receive a variable annual bonus based on company, team, and/or individual performance results in accordance with company policy.
