Process OverviewEnterprise Payments Technology Global Business Services team is involved in Architecture, Development & Testing. Applications in EPT provide critical services to our customers and clients such as Zelle, which enables person-to-person payments, Digital Wallets, Debit Card Purchase, Bill Payments, Merchant Acquiring, International and Domestic Remittances, Mortgage Payments, and Scheduled Transfers. It also supports capabilities for Card Management, External Account Management, and Settlement.
The EPT team is playing a crucial role in transformational initiatives and maintaining digital payments change. In Payments, we are moving with an API-first approach. We are transitioning to Continuous Integration and Deployment using the Horizon Platform and focused on test automation using SOATest. The team here is involved in executing strategies like NEVER DOWN and Payment Simplification. Platform Stability, as part of Never Down, is also a focus area due to the need for the high availability of the payments platform for our customers. It is also engaged in a POC for containerization using OpenShift. The India team is spread across 4 locations in India - Chennai, Gurugram, Hyderabad, and Mumbai. This individual will be part of the Enterprise Payment Technology development team [EPT] that provides Merchant Services business applications. The Merchant Technology Quality Engineer - GBS IND will be responsible for working with the QA team. This role will work closely with the U.S. leadership team for Payments QA to ensure the system integration testing and end-to-end testing is completed for the planned releases of new functionality for this new business area.
Candidate should possess excellent experience in a test automation tool such as Selenium/Cypress/JMeter, in-depth knowledge in SOA and Web services (service testing, middleware testing, messaging validation, and virtualization), knowledge of industry standards, proactive planning, and the ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
Responsibilities Responsible for designing and developing test plans and test cases from complex requirements to verify and validate business objectives. Designing and implementing code for our test automation system to deliver a requirement/story per the defined acceptance criteria and compliance requirements. Exploring product quality issues and triaging automated test runs. Liaising with developers and managers on technical issues. Driving the integrity and quality of technical work on significant projects. Work closely with cross-functional teams in handling queries and escalation. Mentors other Software Engineers and coaches team on CI-CD practices and automating tool stack. Requirements Education Bachelor's Degree BE/B-Tech M.E./M.Tech (prefer IT/CS specialization) Certifications NA Experience Range 6 - 9 Years Foundational Skills Minimum 6-8 years of proven, hands-on experience in API testing using SoapUI, SOATest, or equivalent. Knowledge of industry standards, proactive planning, and the ability to work in a fast-paced environment. Design, develop, and maintain automated test scripts, ensuring they are robust, scalable, and aligned with the overall testing strategy. Automate test cases for regression, integration, and functional testing, and continuously enhance the test automation suite. Good understanding of XML, SOAP, MQ, WSDL, JSON Technologies. Experience working on other SOA testing tools. Experience in Functional Testing, including writing detailed test plans and test scripts. Proven experience with JIRA. Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities, with quick adaptation to new technologies, methodologies, and systems. Full lifecycle development methodology, SOA Testing Concepts, and Methodology. Strong at Software Testing Concepts. Excellent communication and documentation skills. Detail-oriented and persistent, able to drive complicated tasks through to completion. Ability to work in a collaborative team environment. Individual contributor, capable of self-directing daily tasks. Seeks out best practices to find opportunities for improvements in Test Execution and automation.
