Quality Specialist
Summary: The Quality Specialist is responsible for ensuring compliance with residential home and day program regulations. The Quality Coordinator will support program leaders in achieving and improving quality within their programs, including reviewing and approving staff action plans based on approved life plans. The Quality Coordinator will assist the VP of Operations and Directors in ensuring processes meet requirements for QIDP. Essential Job Functions: + Ensure that the approved Life Plans are received and meet all regulatory compliance + Ensure Staff Action Plans (SAP) compliance is maintained based on current regulations + Review and certify all SAPs. + Collaborate with Quality Improvement to identify areas of improvement for operations. + Monitor monthly summary completion to ensure quality and regulatory compliance + Process reports for all assigned programs that drive quality improvements and identify the current status of program quality. + Complete audits, Plans of Corrective Action (POCA), and Notable Event follow up + Stay current with regulation changes and advise leadership of trends and updates + Develop and implement new and ongoing projects. Monitor established goals against set timeframes through direct reporting, internal controls, and quality standards. + Responsible for all program policies and procedures related to operations, including writing, revising, presenting at the policy and procedure committee, maintaining and training. + Chair the Policy and Procedure Committee and Quality Review Committee + Oversee the CDS Monarch training schedule to ensure all employees receive all training. + Collaborate with the training department to review and recommend changes to training to align with any process or regulation changes. + Maintain DDP2's, annual documentation, and Choices + Complete all required audits for transferred managers or targeted audits when applicable. + Participate in agency committees as assigned. + Research and applies for grants for all CDS Monarch programs + Perform all other duties relevant to the position as assigned by supervisor. Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities: + Proficient in the use of all Microsoft applications + Reliable transportation + Ability to work independently and motivate others + Ability to communicate effectively, both orally and in writing. + Maintain all required certifications/training by State regulations and CDS Monarch policy Education and Experience: + Bachelor's Degree in a human service field required + Two years of experience serving those with intellectual and developmental disabilities + Two years of experience in Residential Services with direct management of residential facilities, preferred + One-year of experience in Day Services with direct management of day services' facilities, preferred CDS Life Transitions is committed to equal employment opportunity.
