Job Description
As a Quality Specialist, you will work closely with customers and suppliers to swiftly resolve quality-related issues. You will be responsible for executing core quality processes daily, under the guidance of the Director of Quality Assurance.
ResponsibilitiesParticipate in all aspects of the Quality Assurance job function, including processing complaints, managing quarantines, and handling customer recovery and advisories.Process the download and distribution of complaints daily, identifying those requiring escalation.Work with customer service to document customer allegations and facilitate product returns for evaluation.Coordinate investigations with suppliers, and communicate root cause and corrective actions to customers.Facilitate the quarantine, recovery, and disposition of products, especially those sensitive for regulatory or legal reasons.Collect and analyze quality data, run Oracle queries, and prepare quality reports.Respond to customer surveys and Requests for Proposal (RFPs) promptly.Create and revise QA procedures and work instructions.Participate in internal audits of the Quality Management System.Engage in continuous improvement of core processes using Practical Process Improvement (PPI).Present QA functions and provide training to departments outside of QA.Execute projects and complete other assigned duties.Essential SkillsStrong organizational skills with a sense of urgency.Attention to detail and ability to multitask.Customer-focused and flexible team player.Excellent oral and written communication skills.Experience dealing with customers and suppliers.Proficient problem solver with a results-oriented approach.Strong computer and analytical skills, including Microsoft Excel, Access, Word, PowerPoint, and Data Warehouse tools.Familiarity with continuous improvement methodologies such as Six Sigma, PPI, Lean, Minitab, and CAPA.Minimum two years' experience in a cGMP environment.Additional Skills & QualificationsExperience as an internal or external auditor, lead auditor experience preferred.Experience with a quality information management system, Master Control preferred.Bachelor's Degree or equivalent experience in a technical or scientific field such as engineering, chemistry, biology, or mathematics.Work Environment
This position is contingent and operates on a Sunday to Saturday schedule. The role involves working with quality assurance processes and tools in a collaborative and dynamic environment. Dress code is business casual.
Pay and BenefitsThe pay range for this position is $25.00 - $28.00/hr.
