The opportunity

Join our Energy & Utilities business supporting the IPG East team in the role of Quality Specialist. Reporting directly into the Operations Manager you will oversee and ensure compliance to Downer Quality & Project Control standards across projects within the BU. 

This is a full-time permanent role that will be based in our Milton, Brisbane office location. 

What you’ll do

Prepare, review and execute detailed plans and schedules for tenders and project works.  Develop, manage and support quality assurance, project control tools and reporting systems, ensuring alignment with package delivery milestones and overall project objectives. Continuously improve methods and practices to align with industry best practice. Lead package engineering efforts for key projects in the Major Projects division and across the broader operation ensuring seamless integration of packages within the overall project scope.

What we’re looking for

Diploma or Advanced Diploma in Quality or similar discipline. Minimum 5 years in Quality Control/Quality Assurance or similar.  Working knowledge of QAQC requirements, planning and approval processes.  Knowledge of Standards/ ISO 9001 requirements.      Prior experience within heavy industry, power generation or engineering is preferred.
