Job Title: Quality Specialist

Purpose and Objective:
SAP Labs, LLC seeks a Quality Specialist at our Palo Alto, CA location to work in a cross functional development or testing team with special focus on quality assurance and test-related tasks.
Expectations and Tasks:
Plan and execute tests. Implement automated test cases. Plan and organize preventive quality measures such as code reviews. Identify error prone areas and support discussion making about improvements to be implemented. Support definition of test scope. Support definition of quality targets. Support configuration of test landscapes. Support definition of overall quality strategy. As a Quality Specialist, you could be in the following team roles: Scrum team member with focus on quality; Tester; and/or Mentor of junior and external testers.
Education and Occupational Experience:
Bachelor’s degree or foreign equivalent in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field of study and two (2) years of experience in the job offered or related occupation. Alternatively, a Master’s degree or foreign equivalent in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field of study.
Qualifications/Skills and Competencies Experience:
Prior experience, internship or academic coursework must include each of the following:
Creating test landscape in Unix/Linux environment;
Setting up IDE, Java for test scripting;
Authoring test plan and designing test automation using Java, Groovy, Selenium web driver or Katalon Studio;
Maintaining automation system to execute complex tests of 1500 and more, and stabilize tests thereby fixing defects;
Designing, implementing, and executing test plans that include unit, functional, regression, system and integration tests; and
Executing SQL queries in SQL and backend validation.

Compensation Range Transparency: The annual base salary range for this position is $133,432 - $178,740. SAP believes the value of pay transparency contributes towards an honest and supportive culture and is a significant step toward demonstrating SAP’s commitment to pay equity. SAP provides the annualized compensation range inclusive of base salary and variable incentive target for the career level applicable to the posted role. The targeted combined range for this position is $133,432 - $198,600. The actual amount to be offered to the successful candidate will be within that range, dependent upon the key aspects of each case which may include education, skills, experience, scope of the role, location, etc. as determined through the selection process. Any SAP variable incentive includes a targeted dollar amount and any actual payout amount is dependent on company and personal performance.
