WATER QUALITY PLATFORM
Water Quality (‘WQ”) Platform is part of the Environmental & Applied Solutions reporting segment and is a global leader in water quality analysis and treatment, providing instrumentation and disinfection systems to help analyze and manage the quality of ultra-pure water, portable water, wastewater, groundwater, and ocean water in residential, commercial, industrial, and natural resource applications. Our water quality business provides products under a variety of brands, including Hach, Trojan Technologies, McCrometer and ChemTreat. WQ Asia has sales offices in India, Australia, New Zealand, Singapore, South Korea, Thailand, Malaysia, Indonesia, Vietnam, and the Philippines.
Hach-TH Water Quality Platform, a part of the Hach Company, is a leader in manufacturing and distributing analytical instruments and reagents used to test water quality and other liquid solutions. In response to the rapidly expanding reagent in water test business in Thailand, we are seeking a highly motivated and experienced individual to join our Water Quality Thailand Group as an Aftermarket Sales Specialist.
Position Summary:
The Quality Engineer is responsible for the development, implementation, and management of quality control systems in chemical mixing/filling manufacturing and instrument assembly. This role is critical in ensuring that all products meet customer specifications, regulatory standards, and internal quality requirements. The Quality Engineer will focus on process optimization, product quality improvement, and compliance with regulatory standards while supporting cross-functional teams to drive continuous quality improvement initiatives.
Responsibilities:
Quality System Management: Develop, implement, and maintain quality systems, policies, and procedures for chemical mixing/filling and instrument assembly processes.
Product and Process Validation: Validate and improve chemical manufacturing and assembly processes to meet quality standards and specifications. Support validation of new products and processes.
Inspection and Testing Oversight: Ensure that incoming materials, in-process products, and finished goods are inspected and tested according to established procedures and specifications. Oversee QC testing methods for chemical properties and instrument functionality.
Nonconformance Management: Lead root cause analysis and corrective actions for nonconforming materials and products. Develop and implement corrective and preventive actions (CAPA) to address quality issues.
Compliance and Documentation: Ensure that quality practices comply with relevant standards, including ISO 9001, ISO 17025, RoHS, REACH, and GHS. Prepare quality documentation such as inspection records, batch records, and quality reports.
Process Improvement and Optimization: Identify and drive continuous improvement opportunities using techniques like Six Sigma, Lean Manufacturing, and Kaizen. Lead projects aimed at reducing defects, improving yield, and optimizing processes.
Calibration and Equipment Management: Oversee the calibration and maintenance of inspection and testing equipment to ensure accuracy and reliability.
Training and Support: Provide training and guidance to production staff and QC specialists on quality control processes, product specifications, and compliance requirements.
Supplier Quality Assurance: Work with suppliers to monitor and improve the quality of incoming materials. Conduct supplier audits and assess supplier performance.
Audit Support: Participate in internal and external audits to ensure compliance with industry standards and customer requirements.
Scope of Work: Oversee quality systems for chemical manufacturing (mixing/filling) and instrument assembly processes, ensuring product quality and regulatory compliance.
Quality Assurance Leadership: Lead efforts for implementing and maintaining the quality management system (QMS). Responsible for ensuring that processes meet the highest standards for quality.
Cross-Functional Collaboration: Work closely with Production, R&D, Engineering, and Supply Chain teams to resolve quality-related issues and optimize processes.
Customer Focus: Drive initiatives to meet or exceed customer expectations for product quality and performance.
Compliance Ownership: Ensure compliance with industry standards, certifications, and regulatory requirements (ISO, GHS, RoHS, etc.).
Qualifications:
Bachelor’s degree in Chemistry, Chemical Engineering, Industrial Engineering, Electronics, or a related field.
Minimum of 3 years of experience in Quality Engineering, with experience in chemical manufacturing and/or instrument assembly preferred.
Strong background in quality management systems (e.g., ISO 9001, ISO 17025).
Proven experience with root cause analysis, CAPA, and continuous improvement methodologies (e.g., Six Sigma, Lean).
Proficient in SPC (Statistical Process Control), MSA (Measurement Systems Analysis), FMEA, and other quality tools.
Strong understanding of regulatory standards (e.g., RoHS, REACH, GHS).
Ability to use common quality tools and software (e.g., Microsoft Excel, SAP, MasterControl).

Problem-Solving: Strong analytical skills with the ability to identify root causes of quality issues and implement effective solutions.
Leadership: Ability to lead and influence cross-functional teams, driving quality initiatives and continuous improvement efforts.
Attention to Detail: Precision in identifying defects, reviewing product specifications, and maintaining quality records.
Project Management: Experience managing quality improvement projects, from planning through execution and results evaluation.
Communication: Clear and concise communication skills, both verbal and written, for internal and external stakeholders.
Adaptability: Ability to work in a dynamic manufacturing environment with evolving challenges.
