Advocate and support the Corporate WIN Strategy by ensuring compliance of the documented quality system to specified requirements (internal and external), facilitating continuous improvement, and providing general support to the facility for interpretation and application of internal and external quality program standards.
Essential Functions:
Responsibilities may include but are not limited to:
+ Evaluate and report on the effectiveness of the quality system. Schedule and perform internal audits of the quality system in accordance with the ISO 9000 International Standard. Report audit activities and results and perform comprehensive follow up of corrective action requests. Report to Management Review the status of quality system indicators. Maintain and update Quality Manual. Maintain, control, update, and distribute documentation for the quality system.
+ Administer the QSI operation system for Division locations including, but not limited to, database implementation and upgrading, troubleshooting, security, and training. This system contains databases such as document control, customer and supplier management, nonconformances, corrective action, and employee training records used for ISO 9000 certification. Design and administer other company databases.
+ Act as facility representative to third party auditors. Coordinate and host audits. Sign audit reports. Issue and follow up on corrective actions. Coordinate and update new and transferred files. Coordinate control of suspect material. Control all audit records.
+ Manage Customer Production Part Approval Process (CPPAP) including communication, interpretation, and implementation of customer requirements. Coordinate with appropriate personnel during CPPAP process. Submit sample and CPPAP to customer. Communicate with customer and Value Stream during approval process.
+ Manage Supplier Production Part Approval Process (SPPAP) including communication with suppliers, verification of product quality, and coordination of dimensional analysis on supplier parts. Reject and nonconform suspect product. Communicate status with supplier, Purchasing department and Value Stream.
+ Coordinate quality efforts for new product development or production line implementation including DFMEA, PFMEA, and creation of control plans and work instructions. Investigate, document and retrieve data for ISO 9001 and quality processes. Distribute data to appropriate personnel. Incorporate new quality systems.
+ Make independent decisions/referrals to resolve potential quality problems when appropriate. Bring unusual circumstances to the attention of the proper authority.
+ Assist Quality Engineers in auditing procedures for compliance to actual practice and report deviations and assist in conducting process verification audits both internal and sub-contracted.
+ Perform other duties as assigned.
Qualification Requirements:

+ High School Diploma or equivalent
+ 3 – 5 years related experience or an equivalent combination of education and experience required. Associates degree in related field preferred.
+ Proficient knowledge of quality systems and procedures such as ISO 9001 International Standard, PPAP, PFMEAs, Statistical Analysis, and gage R&Rs.
+ Proficient working knowledge of Microsoft Office and database creation.
+ Math and blueprint proficiency required.
+ Must have demonstrated ability manage projects, make sound decisions, and lead and motivate others.
