Coordinator performs systematic and objective performance improvement activities for both clinical and non clinical areas Responsibilities include but are not limited to data abstraction analysis and reporting and all duties as assigned including administrative support for the QualityRegulatoryPatient Safety Team Position ResponsibilitiesKey areas of responsibility Assists in performance improvement activities to monitor the quality of care to meet regulatory standards Performs specific performance improvement activities necessary for the clinical and administrative staffs to monitor and evaluate the quality and appropriateness of patient care to meet regulatory requirements eg DPH TJC CMS Provides data abstraction from hospital applications and inputs into internal and external databases to support publicly reported measures and other performance improvement activities Coordinates medical record audits for the state federal andor managed care review Interprets regulatory specifications of Core Measures and accurately oversees CMS validation requirements Generates analytical reports with statistical quality control tools for specialized and generic performance improvement activities Coordinates ongoing screening collection and analysis of information Identifies problems that have an impact on patient care and the clinical performance of members of the hospital staff Provides administrative support for QualityRegulatoryPatient Safety including support for meetings including but not limited to scheduling coordinating agendas taking minutes compiling day of final presentations distributing pre meeting packets copying meeting materials preparing meeting minutes Meetings include Regulatory Patient Safety PICC QAPIC SERT MSEC Facilitates RAVE and internal communications for regulatory activity Reviews and updates RAVE notification list quarterly Creates reports including EPIC daily census OR procedure lists restraint report and supports ongoing regulatory activities Provides support in scanning regulatory activity files into shared drive research policies and IFUrsquos from online resourcesWorking RelationshipThis Job Reports To Job Microsoft office products including word excel powerpoint quality improvement methods tools and techniquesLicensure Certification Registrationmiddot Preferred CPHQ or other optional Knowledge Skills and Ability Requirementsmiddot Strong interpersonal skills with a focus on customer servicemiddot Microsoft Office proficiency in Word PowerPoint Excel and Accessmiddot Able to acquire skills in data
