JOB SUMMARY
Be a part of a team of Quality Engineers at the that applies its expertise and knowledge in finding innovative, cost-effective means to improve quality output and continuous improvements. You will drive process initiatives that ensures compliance with Customer requirements, regulatory agencies, government regulations and engineering specifications while instilling site accountability for governance of the quality system, product acceptance, product quality and customer compliant.
YOU ARE
An experienced Quality Engineer – You will be responsible for ensuring that the products produced meet quality standards required to minimize quality costs and maximize customer satisfaction whilst ensuring that procedures and processes are adhered to. Ensure incoming materials meet required quality standards. You will also be responsible for identifying and raising quality issues and for speedily resolving them to ensure zero impact to the customer.
Excited about new product introductions – You will support new product introductions to ensure the robustness of product builds. Working in a team environment you will develop and implement best practices that emphasize defect prevention, reduction in variation and waste and provide for continuous improvements in meeting all customer requirements. You will manage the customer specific requirements and offer technical support. You will work on multiple New Product Introduction projects requiring innovative original solutions where results are key to successful completion of major projects. You will work mostly independently with minimal supervision and work is reviewed at project milestones and/or on completion by Senior Management.
A collaborator and effective communicator – You will be communicating with end users and responding to their quality complaints. Reduce the product warranty and parts per million (ppm). You will be responsible for defining product safety risk assessment for each customer complaint as required.
Detail oriented – Following the internal RMA process review all preventive and corrective actions. Lead the Management Operating System (MOS) for all 8D creation and follow-up in the South-East Asia region. Lead quality holds and recalls approval and release in the EMEA regional market. You will perform incoming inspection for each batch delivered to Malaysia DC and make decisions to accept or reject batches independently.
Committed to continuous improvement - You will maintain the Quality Management System (QMS) for PPE in Malaysia DC and conduct regular QMS audits. You will support New Product Introduction (NPI), Sustaining, and Value Engineering Cost Engineering (VECE) product quality validation. You will be responsible for regular product validation plans, testing, and reporting.
Highly focused on customer satisfaction – You will be Jointly responsible with the marketing leader for regional Voice of Customer (VOC). You will be co-responsible for Product Quality and Manufacturing Quality to define, review, maintain and improve Product Failure Catalogue. You will also be co-responsible with Supplier Quality Engineering (SQE) for supplier audits, production transfers, and Production Part. You will oversee the Approval Process (PPAP) approval and regularly report region quality statement such as PPM, COPQ and Key customer complaint and aging time to quality and business leadership.
REQUIRED SKILLS FOR SUCCESS
Bachelor's degree in engineering required.
· Preferred: Green Belt Certification
· Initiative and judgement in work methods, goal interpretation
· Independent work with minimal supervision
· Self-supervising within divisional management's guidance
· Basic knowledge of APQP, PPAP, FMEA
· Familiarity with TS16949 and ISO9000
· Proficiency with quality tools (Sampling Inspection, Measurement, CPK, 8D, CAPA, PPM, COPQ, audit, QMS)
· Understanding of engineering drawings and manufacturing processes
· Strong communication and interpersonal skills
· Negotiation and problem-solving skills
· Data collection and analysis ability
· Teamwork skills
· Understanding of cost and financial impacts
· Advanced proficiency in English
