From endlessly recyclable aluminum cans, and cups, to aerosol bottles, our goal is to contribute to a better community, society, and world.** **Position overview:** The Quality Manager will be responsible for managing the plant quality assurance function as directed. **Key responsibilities include:** + Maintaining a safe and secure work environment which includes correcting unsafe acts/conditions, facilitating monthly safety meetings, performing monthly safety inspections, and investigating accidents as required + Supporting development, implementation, maintenance and ongoing improvement of all relevant safety systems and directing and coordinating the activities of the quality assurance function as directed + Establishing and maintaining quality assurance standard procedures, methods, facilities and equipment to meet customer requirements anda customer relationship program in plant matters relating to quality + Directing and implementing quality trainings and development programs + Establishing and analyzing quality areas, including quality goals, quality problems, defect materials, customer complaints on quality problem + Working with material supplier on quality issues and cost reductions and performing leaker awareness training at the customer level + Administers customer and vendor claim reimbursement systems + Ensuring that the organizations Quality Management System conforms to customer, internal, ISO 9001, and regulatory/legal requirements + Ensuring evaluation of, and reporting on, vendor quality systems and overseeing inspection (examination) of incoming materials, ensuring that they meet requirements. + Managing the monitoring, measurement, and review of internal processes, especially those that affect the quality of the organizations products. + Leading a team of Quality engineers, inspectors, auditors, analysts, and technicians **What are we looking for?** + Degree in Technical Discipline + Additional qualification in ISO, QMS, 6 Sigma is desirable + A manufacturing background in a high speed, high volume continuous process + Understanding and experience of working to External Quality/Environmental Standards i.e. ISO 9001:2000 / 14001 + Good understanding of modern lean manufacture technique - SMED, Kaizen 5S, Kanban, Structured Problem Solving, TPM/OEE, SPC, 6 Sigma etc. + Computer literate (Microsoft word, excel and PowerPoint) + Fluent in English **Ball Corporation is an Equal Opportunity Employer.
