Quality Manager – Food & Ingredient Manufacturing Location: Hadley, MA (100% Onsite) Schedule: Monday–Friday, 8:30 AM – 4:30 PM Permanent Position | Lead Site-Level Quality Operations Be the Driving Force Behind Quality & Safety Excellence Are you a seasoned quality professional ready to take ownership of site-level food safety and regulatory compliance? Join our innovative manufacturing team in Hadley, MA, where we produce annatto-derived ingredients through advanced distillation processes. As our Quality Manager, you’ll be the go-to expert for all things quality, leading initiatives that ensure product integrity, regulatory compliance, and operational excellence. This is a high-impact leadership role ideal for someone who thrives in a hands-on environment and is passionate about building strong quality systems from the ground up. What You’ll Do + Champion a culture of quality and food safety across the site. + Serve as the Preventive Controls Qualified Individual (PCQI) and lead the implementation of the Food Safety Plan. + Manage the Food Safety & Quality Management System (FSQMS) including SOPs, training, change control, and documentation. + Oversee GMP, HACCP, Food Defense, and Food Fraud training programs. + Lead sanitation validation, internal inspections, and environmental monitoring. + Manage traceability and recall programs across the supply chain. + Supervise contractors (pest control, sanitation, uniforms) and ensure compliance. + Review and approve production batch records and handle nonconformities. + Lead investigations into quality issues and customer complaints. + Oversee QA processes for warehouse operations including receiving, sampling, and storage. What You Bring + Bachelor’s degree in Food Science, Chemistry, Biology, or related field (advanced degree preferred). + 10+ years of progressive experience in quality assurance within food, dietary supplements, or ingredient manufacturing. + PCQI certification and deep knowledge of 21 CFR 117 and familiarity with 21 CFR 111. + Proven experience in supplier quality management and FSVP compliance. + Strong leadership, documentation, and communication skills. + Proficiency in Microsoft Office and project management tools.
