Your contribution to Prysmian's Success:
We’re looking for an experienced and proactive Quality Manager to join our team in Eastleigh, Southampton. In this pivotal role, you’ll take the lead on quality management across three factories at our site in Eastleigh, ensuring products and processes meet the highest standards. You’ll manage a small team of two Quality Engineers and an apprentice, driving quality standards and continuous improvement.
You’ll report directly to the UK Quality Manager and work closely with cross-functional teams to ensure consistent quality satisfaction.
You will be responsible for:
Lead and develop the site Quality team to ensure a proactive and structured approach to quality management.
Oversee and continuously improve the Quality Management System (QMS) in line with ISO 9001 and relevant customer or industry requirements.
Ensure effective implementation of quality procedures across manufacturing, testing, and supply chain operations.
Serve as the primary contact for external and internal audits (e.g., ISO, customer audits).
Support product qualification and approval processes for fire performance cables, cable accessories, and connectivity products.
Lead root cause analysis and corrective/preventive actions (CAPA) for non-conformances, customer complaints, and internal issues.
Partner with Operations, R&D, Engineering, and HSE to drive operational excellence and compliance.
Monitor and report on key quality metrics (KPIs), providing insights and recommendations to senior management.
Promote a strong quality culture across all departments and production areas.
You are the right fit if you have/are:
Ideally hold a Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Quality Management, or related discipline (Master’s preferred).
Proven experience in manufacturing quality roles within leadership.
Strong knowledge of ISO 9001:2015 and quality management systems.
Expertise in statistical tools, root cause analysis, CAPA, and continuous improvement methodologies.
Experience with customer-facing quality issues and product certifications.
Excellent leadership, communication, and project management skills.
Experience in regulated or certified product environments (e.g., automotive, aerospace, medical).
Familiarity with SAP or another ERP and QMS software platforms.
