Work Schedule: Monday-Friday 8:30 am - 5:00 pm
SUMMARY
Works closely with the directors and production managers to ensure quality of printed materials produced within Data Graphics. Provide leadership to drive process improvements for both quality and safety initiatives. Ensure safety compliance with local, state and federal agencies.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
+ Develops initiates and maintains standards and procedures for the performance of Quality related activities, inspection and audits. Trains affected personnel on these procedures and processes.
+ Generate and communicate quality requirements to appropriate personnel.
+ Recommend changes, testing processes and system improvements to assure that quality standards are achieved.
+ Provide technical expertise when Quality issues are identified. Research and documents issues and concerns identified.
+ Communicate all Quality concerns and issues to appropriate levels internally and externally. Interacts with internal personnel, clients and vendors as needed.
+ Complete all Quality documentation i.e.; QANs and reports as needed.
+ Compose clear client correspondence.
+ Productive member of Continuous Improvement Teams (CIT).
+ Implement a commitment to quality philosophy and recommend methods and procedures to reduce cost and/or improve operating efficiency of the department.
+ Collaborate with management and staff to ensure management personnel have a working knowledge and understanding of OSHA regulations and standards to maintain a safe work environment.
+ Develop, implement, and maintain a management safety system focused on employee involvement, safety performance, injury prevention, and continuous improvement.
+ Collaborate with operational management to proactively implement employee safe work practices/behaviors.
+ Develop, implement and manage all safety policies/procedures and records in accordance with local, state and federal regulations. Plan, implement, and coordinate an accident prevention program, to enhance our operational efficiencies.
+ Design and conduct comprehensive safety audits and provide follow-up to ensure corrective action is identified and timely implemented.
+ Drive timely completion of corrective action associated with near-miss incidents, incident investigations and compliance.
+ Develop and deliver training to supervisors/managers on incident prevention and investigation of all near misses and injuries.
+ Perform other related duties as required to achieve the goals and objectives of the department and company.
+ Keep manager informed of activities and situations that will impact the achievement of corporate or department goals and objectives.
+ Comply with company rules and regulations.
+ Maintain confidentiality of company-sensitive data.
EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE
+ Four-year college degree plus 2-3 years of quality engineering experience in a direct mail printing or related industry
