Job Purpose Site Quality Manager (SQM) is the the ambassador of the customer at the site SQM  lead the site Quality function and support in delivering the business objectives and goals. The SQM leads the Quality Self Improvement program and facilitates customer & certification audits. The SQM establishes and maintains a quality management system (QMS) which is tailored to the specific site needs as well as to AkzoNobel (AN) and regulatory requirements. The SQM is involved in site MOC and approves changes which impact product quality. The SQM guides the site towards process control improvements via efficient quality data analysis – specifically driving RFT. The SQM will apply a continuous improvement / ALPs approach for the site QC to delight the customer the most efficient way. Specifically, the SQM establishes strategies to reduce manufacturing related complaints and Total Cost of Quality (TCoQ). The SQM provides guidance and mentoring in the use of Quality tools and Best Practice with support from the CIM. SQM lead the New product introduction and transfers and in line with AN Quality Management system guideline SQM is Site Product Steward and ensures the Product Stewardship is in line with AN standard Plan and Develop the talent management in collaboration with HR Establish the required MIS and KPI reporting are updated/provided timely. 

 

Key Accountabilities Establish efficient Formulation control procedures
•    All Formulations are to be maintained confidentially and follow AkzoNobel guidelines in formulation keeping and distribution control.
•    To follow the Technical procedure Hand books guidelines while sharing formulation external to AkzoNobe Establish efficient Production Methods and Procedures 
•    Analyses plant, production process methods and equipment conditions.
•    Conducts feasibility studies on methods and equipment to meet product specification or customer requirements and propose investment on equipment
•    Improves and optimizes processes, and set up optimum lot size to reduce the cost of manufacturing, increase yield, and improve quality and consistency.
•    Any change at sites (process, products, volumes, equipment, materials / suppliers) will be formally risk assessed on their impact on product quality (MOC process) 
•    To facilitates the deployment of AN’s “Golden Quality Principles” at the site. Responsible for recipe introduction, relocation and scale-up
•    Facilitates new product introduction and New Product development at the Site in providing product cost, item creation in SAP, conduct feasibility study on equipment and process.
•    To coordinate the creation and maintenance of required Materials master in the SAP system
•    To Coordinate First Batch Control process, recording of critical process parameter and procedures.
•    Implement a scale-up activity at the site, report result of scale up, write up production release report, including proper registration of findings to allow trouble shooting afterwards
•    To follow the AkzoNobel guidelines in introduction of New Raw material, New source Lead the Quality control function of the Site
•    Responsible for the overall quality control aspects of raw materials, in-process and finished products.
•    Sets quality standards and ensure compliance to the AkzoNobel Standards and guidelines
•    Sites will exclusively produce and release product based on approved standards 
•    Class 0/1 principles are understood. Awareness training is carried out and recorded. 
•    Class 0/1 incidents are routinely reported to TOD and local R&D. Investigations are carried out and actioned. Key Activities ALPS Implementation 
•    Responsible for ALPS process implementation and sustenance at the Quality function
•    With Support of CI tools, Site CI Manager/facilitator identify the quality improvement and TCOQ reduction opportunities Site specific Quality issues & Trouble shooting 
•    Upon site specific quality issues, the SQM facilitates, contains the risks and ensures notification. 
•    Response to customers on justified complaints is detailed with standard reply form and on time. 
•    Corrective actions are assigned, effective and completed on time.
•    Complaint management is effective and conducted in line with standard procedure People management Monitor subordinates’ development, set yearly target and evaluate performance Control department expenses to be within budget Prepare a monthly report to site Manager Training & competence needs are assessed along with HR at least annually, planned & documented & used for staff development planning  Quality Management Process Ensuring that processes needed for the Quality Management system is established, implemented and maintained according to the requirements of AkzoNobel Quality Management system. Regularly assessed of quality issues and compliance with legal requirements, and to determine whether or not the Quality Management System conform to the planned arrangements for the requirements of ISO 9001 Ensure and adhere to the Company policies/guidelines at all time Manage the hazards by responding effectively to the hazards in HSE&S, collaborate in delivering site HSE&S, Process Safety Management improvement plan  Experience At least 5 year experience at the similar position and industry. Graduate or Post graduate specializing in Chemical Engineering/Chemistry. Knowledge and experience in lab, production and manufacturing processes and techniques. Possesses strong systematic and analytical thinking, with a great attention to detail and experience in using Quality and statistical tools Knowledge of quality systems and standards Good understanding of Planning and organizing, coordination and control. Self-motivated, Honest ,  good interpersonal skill and able to work under pressure condition. Has excellent communication skills, a team player with a high sense of coordination Good command of English both written and speaking . Computer literate. Education

Graduate or Post graduate specializing in Chemical Engineering/Chemistry.
