Quality Manager

Job Description:

The Quality Manager is responsible for managing and overseeing the development and implementation of the company’s quality assurance and quality control policies in alignment with internal guidelines, industry’s best practices, and regulatory standards. This role involves close collaboration with engineering, operations, and procurement teams to ensure consistent product quality, compliance with specifications, and continuous process improvement.

Key Responsibilities:

Policy Development & Implementation:
Oversee the development and application of QA/QC policies in accordance with company objectives and industry regulations.Process Control:
Implement a fit for purpose Quality Management System that provides structured quality process guidance in each facility.Problem Resolution:
Address and manage quality-related issues, conduct root cause analyses with experts, evaluate the impact of technical modifications, and oversee the implementation and evaluation of corrective actions.Continuous Improvement:
Propose and lead initiatives for improvement and/or development in quality systems and procedures. Create key performance indicators (KPI) and metrics to measure effectiveness as well as benchmark against other ITW brands and competitors. Audit procedures and specifications to assess quality compliance.Communication & Training:
Disseminate quality-related information and updates across departments and ensure alignment on quality standards. Train and mentor junior technicians, providing guidance on processes and execution of quality objectives.Partner Quality Assurance:
Validate and monitor supplier quality assurance, through review of contracts, site audits, and close technical collaboration to achieve Vulcan’s Quality objectives..Quality Task force Coordination Coordinate and host Vulcan quality task force review ensuring projects stay on task.Leadership:   Provide leadership and direction to Quality personnel in Charlotte and Troy

Qualifications:

Bachelor’s Degree in Quality Management, Engineering, Industrial Technology, or a related field.Minimum of 5 years of relevant quality management experience, with several years in a supervisory or leadership role.In-depth knowledge of quality systems, regulatory compliance, and process improvement methodologies.Strong analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making skills.Excellent communication, leadership, and interpersonal skills.

Preferred Certifications:

Certified Quality Manager (CQM)Six Sigma Green or Black Belt

Physical Demands

While performing the duties of this Job, the employee:

Must be able to stand or walk for a duration of 2 hours.Must be able to bend, stoop, lift, reach and twist to complete all job tasks.Operate common office equipment, i.e. PC, phone, copier, printer, fax.Must be able to wear all required PPE (i.e., safety glasses, gloves, steel/composite toe safety shoes) when required.Lifting up to 50lbs

Work Environment:

This role may require occasional visits to manufacturing or partner sites, participation in audits, and collaboration across departments.In office position

Compensation Information:

$102, 870 - $171,450
