Job Description
As a Quality Manager, you will ensure that products consistently meet quality and efficiency standards. You will be responsible for establishing quality procedures, standards, and specifications, ensuring that manufacturing production lines operate smoothly and efficiently.
ResponsibilitiesEnsure products meet quality and efficiency standards set by the company.Establish quality procedures, standards, and specifications.Set and enforce quality and safety standards during operations.Conduct research to reduce failures and maximize resources.Implement process improvement using Statistical Process Control (SPC) and measurement analysis.Ensure CoQ (Costs of Quality) metrics align with strategic initiatives including scrap, rework, returns, appraisal, and prevention.Oversee the RMA/Repairs Department, issue RMAs, and maintain the RMA database.Establish programs to improve metrics using continuous improvement tools and participate in Lean Manufacturing initiatives.Proactively improve quality systems internally and externally.Utilize and teach Lean tools including 5S, quick changeover, value stream mapping, and mistake proofing.Review and maintain supplier quality, including new vendor approvals.Ensure seamless interaction between manufacturing engineering, operations, and design engineering during product planning and design phases.Essential SkillsProficiency in quality engineering, auditing, AS9100, ISO 9001, root cause analysis, and fishbone diagrams.Experience managing a quality department and implementing lean manufacturing techniques.Bachelor’s degree in Quality, Manufacturing, Electrical, or Mechanical Engineering.Certification as a Quality, Manufacturing, Electrical, or Mechanical Engineer.4-7 years of experience in manufacturing or production of electronics or electromechanical products.Experience in a Senior Quality Control position in a manufacturing environment.Comprehensive understanding of Root Cause Failure Analysis tools and processes.Additional Skills & QualificationsKnowledge of Defense/Aerospace documentation.Ability to perform dimensioning and interpret engineering drawings, parts lists, and specifications.Strong attention to detail, observation, organizational, and leadership skills.In-depth knowledge of quality control procedures and legal standards.Work Environment
This position requires 100% onsite work in Mahwah, NJ. The organization operates on a 9/80 schedule and works 5 days a week. The team is a tight-knit group of 58 employees. The company shares services with another entity in Mahwah for Accounting, Payroll, and HR. The organization is privately held, family-owned, and has a significant presence within the government and DoD space, fostering a great company culture and offering an opportunity for direct impact and relationships within the organization.
Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $95000.00 - $140000.00/yr.
Employees are eligible for benefits after 30 days of employment.
