Quality Manager

The Quality Manager is responsible for managing the objectives and performance of the Quality organization and ISO-9001 & IATF-16949 Quality Management System (site specific).  The Quality Manager is responsible for assuring product quality within the manufacturing plant by providing leadership and direction to maintain and improve the Quality Management System. This role will collaborate with North America & Global Quality leadership to achieve World Class Quality.

Responsibilities:

•    Manage the Quality Department including staff performance evaluations and goal setting.
•    Direct the activities of the quality staff including Quality Engineers, Quality Technicians, Laboratory Technicians, and Quality Management System Specialists. 
•    Monitor the effectiveness of the Quality Management System and communicate to site leadership.
•    Identify and lead improvement opportunities based on data analysis, customer audits, Six Sigma projects, and other quality-related programs.
•    Maintain and improve the sites IATF-16949 and ISO-9001 Quality Management Systems in compliance with organizational directives.
•    Responsible for customer interfacing activities. Ensure highest levels of product quality and customer satisfaction.
•    Provide monthly quality metric reports, including supplier quality performance. Responsible for process improvements initiatives, KPI improvements, quality objectives and corporate objectives.
•    Schedule and coordinate internal audits to meet Quality Management System requirements.
•    Lead or champion product quality problem solving efforts (corrective action, preventive action, and root cause investigations).
•    Ensure that non-conforming products are appropriately managed to prevent unintended use.
•    Work with Engineering and Manufacturing to reduce defects through operator ownership and quality prevention initiatives.
•    Participate in management of change reviews that impact product quality.
•    Responsible for working with the EHS Management Team in support and compliance with ISO 14001 and ISO 45001 Initiatives.

Qualifications:

•    Bachelor’s degree in Science, Engineering or Manufacturing required 
•    Minimum of 10 years' experience in Quality Assurance, Quality Engineering, Industrial or Manufacturing
•    Experience implementing and maintaining Quality Management Systems compliant with either ISO-9001 & IATF-16949 or AS9100 International Standards
•    Excellent MS Office Skill (Excel, Word, PowerPoint)
•    Internal Audit experience/certification preferred.

•    Good written and oral communication skills.
•    Strong troubleshooting skills.
•    Proven project and people management skills
•    Strong leadership skills 
•    Certified Lean-Six Sigma Green Belt or equivalent experience (Lean-Six Sigma Black Belt preferred)

This position requires access to export-controlled technology, technical data or defense services, as such, employment will be contingent upon the candidate’s ability to access export-controlled technology, technical data or defense services as authorized pursuant to US regulation or an export authorization obtained by DuPont approved by the controlling US government agency.
