Job Title: Quality Lead - Special Processes
Salary and Hours:
Salary: £36,000 - £42,000 per annum
Hours:Monday - Thursday: 8:00 AM - 4:00 PM Friday: 8:00 AM - 3:00 PMOverview:
The Quality Lead will have ownership of coating processes and the Quality Management System (QMS). As the go-to person for all special processes and technical expertise, this role requires close collaboration with manufacturing teams to maintain and improve operational performance in key special process areas. Additionally, the Quality Lead will be responsible for any new product or process qualifications.

Duties and Responsibilities:Quality Management SystemServe as the subject matter expert for quality systems and special processesManage and resolve customer complaintsMaintain and update the QMS to reflect new and corporate requirementsEnsure compliance with technical standards in chemical processing controlsOversee calibration compliance and work instructionsDrive continuous improvement in business management systemsManage business reviews and audit plans, ensuring timely audit closureIdentify and mitigate company risksRepresent the company during accreditation and certification auditsProduct & Process Development:Lead the qualification of new products and processesEnsure processes comply with corporate, customer, and third-party regulationsDrive continuous improvement activities for cost reduction and process repeatability/reliabilityUtilize Zero Defect tools to reduce the cost of poor quality________________________________________
Qualifications/Experience:Degree in Chemistry or Materials (Desirable, not essential)Experience with AS9100 and Nadcap approvals (Heat Treat, Chemical Processing, and Non-destructive Testing) is desirableExperience within a fast-paced, aerospace environment is preferredFamiliarity with Zero Defect tools and their implementation to address the cost of poor quality is a plusStrong decision-making and problem-solving skillsExperience managing both internal and external stakeholdersExcellent communication skills________________________________________
