This position is based in Oceanside, California
The Quality Inspector II works independently as part of the Quality team inspecting parts. It is the responsibility of the Quality Inspector II to communicate inspection results to management as well as Research and Development and Materials Management.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
Inspect device components and finished devices following inspection instructions and established procedures Maintain and create new inspection procedures as required Communicate inspection results to Quality supervision or management as well as Engineering, Materials Management, and suppliers File quality documents and records and maintaining quality files Inspect device components and build programs using advanced inspectional equipment in the Quality Control room (OASIS, OGP) Assist with process validation work to support manufacturing needs Training of new employees on inspectional processes and quality procedures Reviewing completed Device History Records and the electronic transfer of product out of the Quality Control room Physical receipt of incoming product /manufacturing materials, and process into GP Dynamics Picking and packing component inventory for shipment to outside vendors and corporate office
· Special assignments as directed by supervision commensurate with experience
Qualifications:
Previous hand-held inspection instruments (micrometer, calipers, etc.) required Experience with computerized record-keeping (e.g., documents, drawings) preferred Computer literacy with standard software applications, and demonstrates excellent reading,writing and verbal communication skills· Requires vaccination against Hepatitis B or signed declination form
Education/Experience:
· High school diploma or certificate required
· Associate of Science in Engineering or related discipline desired
· Three years experience in a industrial manufacturing environment in a quality, manufacturing, or industrial, project engineering position required
