MAU is hiring a Quality Inspector for our client in Greenville, SC. As a Quality Inspector, you will conduct in-process and final quality checks on gas turbine assemblies to ensure part accuracy, installation integrity, and compliance with engineering documentation. This is a contract opportunity with long-term potential.
Benefits Package Health insurance Paid time off Opportunity for advancement Uniform allowance Shift Information Monday – Friday | 7:00 AM – 4:00 PM Required Education and Experience High school diploma or equivalent 2+ years of experience in quality inspection, preferably in a manufacturing or mechanical assembly environment Preferred Education and Experience Technical training or certification in quality inspection or mechanical assembly General Requirements Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings and specifications Familiarity with mechanical components, part identification, and torque/fastening methods Excellent attention to detail and organizational skills Ability to work independently and in cross-functional teams Basic computer literacy for data entry and documentation Essential Functions Perform visual inspections of gas turbine assemblies to verify correct installation of all components, including fasteners Review and interpret engineering drawings and technical documentation to ensure compliance with part specifications Verify part numbers and assembly sequences throughout production stages Conduct inspections following the assembly team to identify gaps in internal “due checks” Perform random sampling of incoming, in-process, and final products to ensure quality standards are met Verify product quality after changeovers to confirm alignment with specifications Document inspection results using designated check sheets or inspection logs Initiate Non-Conformance Reports (NCRs) for defects or deviations, ensuring traceability and documentation Collaborate with production and quality teams for issue containment, follow-up, and resolution Monitor products on hold and support timely material disposition Working Conditions Approximately 95% of time will be spent on the shop floor Inspections are primarily manual and visual; laptop use may or may not be required MAU does not offer sponsorship for this position.
