BAE Systems is seeking a **Quality Inspector** to support at its Phoenix, Arizona location. In this role as a Quality Inspector, you will be responsible for the inspection of items manufactured or procured for use as a contracted end item. Inspection includes the use of inspection tools and instruments to demonstrate compliance to specifications, and inspection by attributes for workmanship as well as confirmation of all appropriate documentation.
+ Responsible for the inspection of materials, parts, processes and final products, and documentation of the results.
+ Inspects close tolerance items using non-computerized inspection equipment, procedures and set-ups.
+ Reviews paperwork accompanying inspected items for appropriateness and completeness.
+ Performs First Article, in-process and final inspection.
+ Prepares and files all required quality documentation and records for inspection area.
+ Performs other duties, consistent with the position, as required or assigned.
**Note:** Position will support both on the manufacturing floor and in the office on a "4/10" schedule, Monday through Thursday.
**Required Education, Experience, & Skills**
+ Typically requires a High School diploma and one (1) year related experience in Quality Inspection / Quality Assurance working with precision parts production, or the overall equivalent.
+ Proven ability to read, comprehend, and be able to work to drawings and blueprints within a manufacturing environment.
+ Experience in lot traceability and reviewing certifications and processing paperwork.
+ Understanding of geometric tolerances and dimensioning (GD&T).
+ Experience using typical industry-specific quality inspection hand tools.
+ Experienced in quality assurance processes and set-ups.
+ Computer skills to support MS Office (Word, Outlook, Excel) and typical industry-specific software applications/databases.
+ A team player, able to work collaboratively with others.
+ Able to support on a "4/10" Monday through Thursday schedule. Typical hours are 5:00 AM - 3:30 PM.
**Preferred Education, Experience, & Skills**
+ Experience with CMM a plus.
**Pay Information**
Full-Time Salary Range: $42436 - $67898
Please note: This range is based on our market pay structures. However, individual salaries are determined by a variety of factors including, but not limited to: business considerations, local market conditions, and internal equity, as well as candidate qualifications, such as skills, education, and experience.
