Job Description
As a Quality Inspector, you will oversee incoming component inspections, in-line and in-process checks, and issue labels for special projects. You will conduct AQL inspections in response to customer complaints and manage rework processes. Your role involves handling over 1200 samples for production lots, ensuring quality checks of medical products throughout manufacturing and packaging. You will be responsible for checking for defects in bottles, totes, caps, and other packaging, pulling labels for batch records, documenting all inspections and batch record information, and ensuring compliance with GMPs, SOPs, FDA regulations, and quality processes.
ResponsibilitiesPerform quality checks of medical products throughout the manufacturing and packaging process.Inspect products for defects on bottles, totes, caps, and other packaging.Pull labels on batch records for production personnel to use on external packaging.Document all quality checks, inspections, and batch record information.Ensure production personnel follow GMPs, SOPs, FDA regulations, and quality processes.Essential SkillsQuality control experience.High School Diploma.Computer literacy in document writing (NCRs, NCMRs, Batch Record).Legible writing and ability to work cross-functionally with production.Verbal communication skills.Experience with quality inspection, quality auditing, FDA inspections, GMP, FDA.Additional Skills & QualificationsUnderstanding federal regulations is a plus.GMP experience (can be trained).Work Environment
Training is conducted on the 1st shift for one month, with working hours from 6:00 a.m. to 2:30/3:30 p.m. and Fridays from 5:00 a.m. to 1:30 p.m. The company manufactures OTC drugs, cosmetics, and medical devices, primarily producing lubricating jellies, shampoos, and saline syringes. The role is split equally between floor inspections/auditing and office-based documentation and project work. The company offers paid holidays and two weeks of prorated vacation annually. Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $20.00 - $21.00/hr.
