Job Title: Quality Inspector

Requirements: Hardhat, boots, safety vestExperience: A Distribution Quality Inspector with 10 to 15 years of experience is a senior professional responsible for overseeing the quality and safety of utility distribution systems, including power lines, substations, and associated equipment. 10 to 15 years of experience in utility distribution quality inspection or a related field. Must have lineman/powerline experience! 2-5 days not guaranteed 5 days. Daylight hours, hours can verify from 7am-6pm and 10-40 hours weekly Education: Qualifications: High school diploma or equivalent. A bachelor's degree in a related field is preferred. Key Responsibilities:
Quality Inspections: Lead and conduct in-depth inspections of distribution systems, including power lines, transformers, and substations, to ensure they meet industry regulations and quality standards.
Safety Oversight: Oversee safety procedures and practices, ensuring strict compliance to prevent accidents, incidents, and hazards. Initiate and conduct safety training for the team.
Documentation and Records: Maintain comprehensive and accurate records of inspection findings, including photographs, measurements, and test results. Ensure documentation is organized and up to date.
Defect Identification: Identify and document defects, irregularities, or non-compliance issues. Provide expert insights into the severity of issues and recommend corrective actions.
Testing and Measurement: Utilize advanced testing and measurement equipment for in-depth evaluation of distribution assets, diagnosing complex issues and providing solutions.
Reporting and Communication: Prepare detailed inspection reports, communicate findings to relevant stakeholders, and provide recommendations for corrective actions. Interact with regulatory authorities when necessary.
Collaboration and Leadership: Collaborate with maintenance and operations teams, leading efforts to schedule and prioritize necessary repairs and maintenance activities based on inspection results.
Regulatory Expertise: Maintain an in-depth knowledge of industry regulations and standards, including the National Electric Safety Code (NESC), and ensure strict adherence to all regulations.
Data Analysis and Continuous Improvement: Analyze inspection data and trends, leveraging your extensive experience to identify opportunities for process improvements and system upgrades.
Mentoring and Training: Provide guidance and mentorship to less experienced team members. Lead training initiatives and ensure the team is well-versed in best practices.
Skillset and expertise: A Distribution Quality Inspector with 10 to 15 years of experience plays a pivotal role in ensuring the safety and quality of utility distribution systems.
