Job Description:
This position is responsible for setting up and drive continual improvement of quality and food safety management system, based on Mars Global Standards to deliver all site quality key performance indicators.
What are we looking for?
Proven experience in Food Industry, preferably in a quality or food safety role.Strong knowledge and practical application of GMP, HACCP and Allergen management.Experience with ISO9001 and FSSC22000 standards.Excellent analytical skills and knowledge of statistics.Fluent in English, both spoken and written.Education in Food Science or relevant.Strong leadership, communication and stakeholder management skills.What will be your key responsibilities?
Responsibilities
Quality and Food Safety Systems Management:
Establish, develop, and maintain robust quality and food safety systems to ensure all products consistently meet quality standards and food safety requirements, complying with all relevant regulations.Incident and Complaint Management:
Lead the management of incidents and consumer complaints, ensuring effective resolution and driving the effectiveness of Corrective and Preventive Actions (CAPA) to prevent recurrence.Training and Standards Implementation:
Oversee the training and implementation of standards such as GMP (Good Manufacturing Practices), GHP (Good Hygiene Practices), HACCP (Hazard Analysis and Critical Control Points), and allergen management, ensuring comprehensive understanding and adherence across the team.Data Analysis and Continuous Improvement:
Conduct thorough data analysis to identify trends and areas for improvement, driving continual enhancement of quality performance metrics and processes.Collaboration with Value Stream Managers:
Serve as the primary point of contact with respective Value Stream Managers (VSM), collaborating to lead and deliver the Quality SSIP (Strategic Safety Improvement Plan) for their respective Value Streams, focusing on prioritized initiatives.Quality Management Systems Design and Maintenance:
Design and maintain Quality Management Systems that comply with Mars Global Quality Standards, ensuring systems are up-to-date and effective in meeting organizational goals.Compliance and Risk Management:
Maintain comprehensive knowledge of all relevant standards within the area, driving compliance through a risk-based approach. Own and drive the verification processes, including audits and compliance agendas.HACCP Facilitation and Communication:
Facilitate HACCP processes, ensuring clear communication and escalation to plant teams. Attend Asset Health Check sessions to monitor and improve asset conditions.Leadership and Management Reviews:
Attend all CP (Continuous Process) structure meetings, demonstrating effective leadership in CP3 processes. Own and lead Quality PVSR (Periodical Management Reviews) to assess and improve quality strategies.Procedure Development and Updates:
Write and update relevant procedures to ensure clarity and compliance, adapting to new insights and regulatory changes.Training Material Development:
Develop comprehensive training materials and train the Quality Continuous Improvement (CI) team, who will further train operators, ensuring consistent quality practices across operations.Incident Ownership and Follow-Up:
Act as the incident owner for PRIMP (Product Risk Incident Management Process) incidents, including follow-up actions such as Business Risk Assessment, Nexus, CAPA, and Post-Incident Review.Guidance on Food Safety Priorities:
Guide the Food Safety expert in defining priorities based on insights generated by the Food Safety lead, ensuring alignment with strategic goals.Co-Responsibility for KPI Targets:
Collaborate with the VSM to drive significant improvements in Quality and Food Safety KPI targets, ensuring the achievement of organizational objectives.What can you expect from Mars?
