In the Quality Engineering Leader role, you will be responsible for overseeing and ensuring the highest standards of quality within the additive manufacturing site. In this role, you will supervise a team of quality professionals, drive continuous improvement initiatives, and maintain compliance with industry standards and regulations. As the Quality Engineering Leader, you will play a critical role in upholding GE Aerospace's commitment to Safety, Quality, Delivery, and Cost (SQDC) and align with FLIGHT DECK fundamentals.

Job DescriptionRoles and Responsibilities:Lead team to implement proactive quality and 0 defect toolsSupport the development and implementation of Quality plans for next generation technologies such as HRI, ADR, Metrology Automation, etc.Includes conformance in manufacturing, incoming goods control, product inspection, etc.Manage a small to medium team of senior professionals as well as othersInfluence the development of strategy for the area of responsibility, newer technologies, and influence policy formulationInterpret simple internal and external business challenges and recommend best practices to improve products, processes or servicesUse high level of judgment to make decisions and handle complex tasks or problems in areas of operational, product management, manufacturing, technology or engineeringAssess quality of information given and ask pertinent questions to stakeholdersOffer new solutions to problems outside of set parameters and is able to construct and provide recommendationsUse multiple internal and some external sources outside of own function to help arrive at a decisionCommunicate difficult concepts and may influence others' options on particular topicsGuide others to consider a different point of view

Required Qualifications:Bachelor’s Degree accredited college or university (or a high school diploma / GED with a minimum of 4 years of Quality experience)At least an additional 5 years of Quality experience

Desired Characteristics:Experience in MSAs, Statistical Process Control, Alternate Inspection Frequencies.Experience with various Inspection modalities including Computed Tomography (CT).Familiarity with GE Aerospace's FLIGHT DECK lean operating modelHumble: respectful, receptive, agile, eager to learn​Transparent: shares critical information, speaks with candor, contributes constructively​Focused: quick learner, strategically prioritizes work, committed ​Leadership ability: strong communicator, decision-maker, collaborative​Problem solver: analytical-minded, challenges existing processes, critical thinkerProject management experience
