Job Responsibilities:
Provide support to the Manufacturing Engineer for all carryover programs, new program launches and engineering prototype buildsAnalyze issues affecting internal quality (PPM) and productivity issues (OEE - overall equipment efficiency)Update measurables, presentation material, and other tracking documents for monthly Quality Operating System (QOS) reviews and Ergonomic Committee MeetingsAssist with quotations for current programs (continuous improvement opportunities) and potential new programs (new fixtures, equipment, processes, etc.)Perform Ergonomic/Safety risk assessments and assist with quarterly auditsMust be aware of relevance and importance of their activities and how it effects quality and the environment for our customersPerform other duties as requiredQualification and Skills
Completion of high school or equivalent.Less than 1 year of work related experience.Must be enrolled into a co-op post-secondary programEnrolment in a post-secondary program in Mechanical or Industrial Engineering.Previous experience in automotive manufacturing or general assembly manufacturing an asset.PLC experience an assetBasic Understanding of Statistical Process Control (SPC)Ability to read and understand AutoCAD layouts and blueprintsBasic understanding of Ergonomics an assetAwareness, Unity, Empowerment:At Magna, we believe that a diverse workforce is critical to our success.
