SUMMARY
Quality Engineer must have general knowledge of metals manufacturing and machining processes in an ISO certified environment. Will support ISO 9001 processes and procedures, conduct quality audits, provide support to internal and external suppliers including the shop floor. Correct problems using root cause methodologies. Work with cross functional team to disposition defective material and product. Work with Microsoft office for spreadsheet & data base files.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
Promote and execute quality standards, inspection processes, test methodology, quality plans, documents and reports.Serve as a Quality Assurance resource for problem identification and resolution.Participate in internal and external quality audits.Interface with supplier and customer quality representatives concerning problems with quality assurance and assure that effective corrective action is implemented.Serve as the Quality Assurance representative to the Materials Review Board (MRB).Assist in maintaining the inspection tool calibration processOther duties as assignedMinimum Critical Competencies

Ability to review customers purchase orders, contracts and change requests and ensure that the necessary criteria and provisions are included in quality and process plans.Ability to support Design Engineering efforts by participating in design and development projects representing Quality Assurance and the customer.CMM Programming (PCDMIS)PPAP and first article documentation experienceEducation and Experience Requirements
