Job Title: Quality Engineer I
Location: Lebanon IN / On-Site
Schedule: Monday to Friday | 8:00 AM – 5:00 PM
Compensation: $37 - $38/hour
Job Overview:
We are seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Quality Engineer. This position supports manufacturing and installation operations by applying principles of quality planning, evaluation, and control. Ideal candidates will have a background in mechanical engineering or supply chain, with strong communication skills and experience in logistics or manufacturing environments.
Key Responsibilities:
Manage systems related to plant customer issues (corrective action requests, nonconforming material reports, etc.)
Lead containment activities and support continuous improvement initiatives
Ensure compliance with quality standards during product and process development
Identify and prioritize quality-related issues, participate in Six Sigma projects
Conduct audits and assist in change management and data analysis
Collaborate with purchasing to improve the quality of purchased parts
Serve as a technical quality resource across departments
Qualifications:
Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering, Supply Chain, or related field
At least 1 year of relevant experience in a manufacturing or logistics setting preferred
Strong written and verbal communication skills
Proven ability to solve problems using data and structured analysis
Experience coordinating with suppliers and managing quality systems
Proficient in statistical tools and quality process management
