The Role
Defiance GPS is looking for a talented Quality Engineer to join our team as a Launch Quality Engineer. This person will be responsible for protecting the customer through monitoring and evaluating internal production processes, examining products to determine their quality, and engaging with sub-suppliers, among other duties.

Manage - guide, lead & direct quality techniciansUnderstanding customer expectations of and needs from a productDeveloping quality control processesSupervising and monitoring production standardsMonitoring and evaluating internal production processesEvaluating the final output of products to determine their qualityRejecting products that fail quality standardsEngaging with customers and gathering product feedbackProducing statistical reports on quality standardsReporting to upper management on quality standard issuesImproving production efficiency and managing waste

Additional Job DescriptionYour Skills & Abilities (Required Qualifications)
High School Diploma or GED are required3+ years of experience in Quality SystemsAbility to work / rotate through all 3 shifts (1st, 2nd & 3rd)Ability to work over-time, weekends, holidays, etc. as neededExcellent attention to detail. Highly conscientious and diligent.Excellent verbal and written communicationDemonstrated ability to work independently and with others.Capable of handling multiple projects without direct supervision.Analytical ability where problems are unusual or difficult.Interpersonal skills to work effectively with others.Familiarity with manufacturing operations, processes, and best practices.Basic understanding of quality principles.Knowledge/ability to implement lean manufacturing principles.What Will Give You A Competitive Edge (Preferred Qualifications)
