Quality Engineer

Position Summary
The Quality Engineer is responsible for ensuring that production operations comply with internal and corporate quality and control plans. This role requires active monitoring on the production floor, leadership in problem-solving activities, and accurate documentation of quality-related data. The position demands a strong understanding of quality tools, statistical analysis, and process improvement methodologies.
Key Areas of Responsibility
Production Floor Quality Monitoring; ensure strict compliance with quality control plans across all production processes, actively monitor manufacturing operations, clarify acceptance criteria.Support night shift and weekend operations, including material inspection and RNC-e generation for nonconforming materials identified during production.Nonconformity Management & Root Cause Analysis; generate, document, and manage RNC-e (digital nonconformity reports) for product or process deviations, actively participate in SIM Level 2 meetings, apply structured problem-solving methodologies, including: Ishikawa, 5 Whys Analysis, Failure Mode and Effects Analysis (FMEA/AMEF), Statistical Process Control (SPC), Quality Data Analysis & Reporting.Conduct Six Sigma-based statistical evaluations to identify and reduce process variation.Retention Sample Management & Compliance; administer customer retention samples, ensuring proper documentation, storage, and availability for reference, ensure compliance with ISO 9001 and international regulations related to bank card manufacturing qualitystandards.Support internal and external audits by providing accurate quality records and evidence.Cross-functional Coordination & Continuous Improvement; collaborate with production teams to ensure alignment between quality requirements and operational execution, promote a culture of proactive quality control, ensuring early detection and mitigation of defects, assist in the implementation of corporate quality initiatives.
Minimum Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree in engineering (Industrial, Mechanical, or related field).Minimum of 3 years in Quality Engineering, related areas or similar, preferably in a manufacturing environment.Basic/Intermediate English proficiency, oral and written.Proficiency in Minitab and Excel for statistical analysis.Strong knowledge of quality control methods and standards (ISO 9001, SPC, FMEA, Six Sigma).Problem-solving expertise using methodologies like 5 Whys, Ishikawa.Strong communicator and negotiator, analytical, results-oriented, customer-oriented, a strong time manager, autonomous, honest, and empathetic, strong focus on helping customers and ensuring their satisfaction.Availability work on-site and flexibility to shift and weekend coverage.If you’re excited about working with Thales, but not meeting the requirements for this position, we encourage you to join our Talent Community!
