As a Quality Engineer, you will be responsible for monitoring and analyzing Quality KPIs for customer, supplier, and internal quality within assigned areas. Your role will involve facilitating countermeasures for issues that do not meet KPI targets, ensuring continuous improvement and adherence to quality standards. T
Responsibilities
Issue Nonconformance reports and monitor KPI status with suppliers.Collaborate with suppliers to implement countermeasures to prevent repeat issues.Conduct on-site supplier audits and countermeasure reviews.Monitor and report internal KPIs, supporting and implementing countermeasure activities.Review and approve all internal quality control documents.Provide technical support and judgment on customer and internal quality requirements.Track and support countermeasure activities for internal process audits.Develop standardized procedures to maintain safety, quality, productivity, and cost.Facilitate, monitor, review, and confirm all customer countermeasure activities.Reduce the number of suppliers not meeting KPI targets.Improve internal quality through audit performance.Support customer countermeasure activities to ensure quick responses and no repeat issues.Qualifications
Ability to effectively manage and prioritize multiple assignments.Problem-solving skills based on data collection and analysis.Working knowledge of Microsoft Office and other computer applications.Working knowledge of Statistical Analysis and Process Control.Familiarity with Gauge usage.Understanding of Quality Systems within a manufacturing environment.Experience in quality engineering, root cause analysis, and supplier quality.Familiarity with APQP, CAPA, and corrective action plans.Experience in welding, particularly in an automotive manufacturing or welding facility.Welding inspection experience.Bachelor’s degree in engineering (mechanical or industrial) plus two years of experience preferred, or equivalent experience in the Quality Field within an automotive manufacturing environment.Work Environment
This position is within an automotive Tier 1 environment. The role offers 3 weeks of vacation and paid holidays.
Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $85000.00 - $105000.00/yr.
