Job Title: Quality Engineer Job Description This role requires a dynamic Quality Engineer who will primarily engage with clients to ensure product quality and address customer complaints. The position involves daily checks of customer feedback, issuing quality alerts, and initiating containment or sorting actions when necessary. Additionally, the role includes conducting Gemba walks to perform root cause analysis and providing insightful reports and presentations to customers. Responsibilities + Engage directly with customers to address and resolve quality issues. + Conduct daily checks on customer complaints and respond with appropriate actions. + Issue quality alerts and initiate containment or sorting actions as needed. + Perform Gemba walks to conduct root cause analysis for potential quality issues. + Prepare and deliver reports and presentations to customers. Essential Skills + 3+ years of experience in an automotive Quality Engineer role. + Proficiency in quality engineering and automotive manufacturing processes. + Expertise in APQP, PPAP, and root cause analysis techniques such as 8D and 5 Why. + Advanced skills in Microsoft Office, including creating PowerPoint presentations and utilizing Excel pivot tables. Additional Skills & Qualifications + Bachelor's Degree in a relevant field. + Experience with PFMEA and an understanding of how they work and can be modified. + Knowledge of failure mode and risk analysis. + Experience in rubber manufacturing. Work Environment The work environment is a clean, well-lit facility with a balanced 50/50 split between floor presence and desk work. Recent management changes have positively impacted the team. Job Type & Location This is a Permanent position based out of Russell Springs, Kentucky. Pay and Benefits The pay range for this position is $65000.00 - $85000.00/yr.
