We’re seeking a Senior Quality Engineer to lead quality assurance efforts across high-profile aerospace and defense programs. What You’ll DoLead quality assurance initiatives across large-scale projects, ensuring alignment with national and international standards.Develop and implement QA programs that drive efficiency, reduce costs, and enhance product reliability.Collaborate cross-functionally with engineering, manufacturing, and program management to ensure seamless execution.Conduct audits, inspections, and testing to validate systems and equipment performance.Resolve complex quality challenges both internally and at vendor sites, applying creative and analytical problem-solving.Represent the program in front of suppliers, customers, and regulatory bodies to address and resolve quality concerns.Prepare technical documentation including statistical analysis reports, specifications, and corrective action plans.What You BringExpertise in AS9100 and ISO 9001 quality standards.Experience with U.S. Air Force, NAVAIR, or FAA QA programs and regulations.Strong analytical and leadership skills to manage budgets, schedules, and cross-functional teams.Ability to deliver clear, confident technical presentations and communicate effectively across all levels.Proficiency in inspection methods, computer systems, and ideally SAP.QualificationsBachelor’s or Master’s degree in Engineering or a related field (or equivalent experience).6+ years of relevant experience with a bachelor’s degree, or 4+ years with a master’s.Proven track record in quality engineering within aerospace, defense, or high-tech manufacturing environments.Work EnvironmentBased in Poway, California.Contract-to-Hire opportunity with potential for long-term growth.Fast-paced, collaborative setting with extended hours as needed to meet project milestones.Active participation in audits, reviews, and cross-disciplinary meetings.Why Join Us?Be part of a team that’s shaping the future of aerospace and defense.Work on cutting-edge projects with real-world impact.Collaborate with top-tier professionals in a mission-driven environment.Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $50.00 - $60.00/hr.
