What you'll do We are thrilled to announce an exciting opportunity for a Product Quality Engineer to join our dynamic team in Duluth, GA! We're seeking a passionate team member to spearhead Quality Improvement Initiatives and Process Improvements, empowering our business and programs to deliver exceptional antenna systems to our customers. This exciting role offers the chance to collaborate with a diverse, cross-functional team spanning Design Engineering, Manufacturing Engineering, Operations, Supply Chain, and fellow Quality professionals, all dedicated to advancing the field of antenna systems. The day-to-day Work as a member of the Integrated Program Team (IPT) and lead all aspects of Quality Implementation in new products. Identify process gaps, research solutions, and provide recommendations for improvement. Review product yield and field reliability data for trends and provide analysis and recommendations to business. Support Design, Build and Test functions through the development and Manufacturing phases of the program. Help drive root cause investigations and process improvement efforts as well as create/implement world class quality practices (i.e. Pareto Analysis, Histograms, Cause & Effect Diagrams, Cpk, etc.) and business tools to help streamline this analysis. Help coordinate Corrective Action Requests (CARs) and Failure Analysis Requests (FARs) to implement improvements. Conduct and provide analysis on Gage R&R studies Using your strong analytical mind and superior communication skills, you will provide QA technical support on Field reliability issues and Product Yield and Test improvement. Independently coordinate with cross-functional teams for problem solving and project work. What you'll need Bachelor's degree in Industrial Engineering, Mechanical Engineering or related field. Excellent verbal and written communication skills and ability to communicate across all level and functions. Strong statistics and data analysis skills. Ability to identify stakeholders, build relationships, and influence others to drive progress. Excellent judgement, critical thinking, and decision-making skills, can balance attention to detail with swift execution. What will help you on the job Strong computer skills in Microsoft Office Suite including Word, Excel, & Power Point. Ability to read, analyze, and interpret complex document and engineering drawings (GD&T a plus). Experience with Six Sigma/Lean methodologies. Working knowledge of PLM Tool (Agile) as well as ERP system (i.e. Oracle). Salary range $69,000.00 - $108,500.00 / annually. For specific work locations within San Jose, the San Francisco Bay area and New York City metropolitan area, the base pay range for this role is $85,500.00- $128,500.00/ annually At Viasat, we consider many factors when it comes to compensation, including the scope of the position as well as your background and experience. Base pay may vary depending on job-related knowledge, skills, and experience.
